Prince Harry is ready for the spotlight. Following the prince and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s shocking move to Los Angeles, California, many people remained puzzled about what they would do next. Since LA is Meghan’s hometown and she has a background in acting, it seems like the perfect fit for the Suits alum. However, for Prince Harry living life in Hollywood is going to be a wholly different experience.

Though things have been challenging for the pair amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it appears that the Sussexes are doing their best to remain upbeat and positive, despite it all. Harry and Meghan have been using this time to settle into their new lives and spend quality time with each other and their infant son, Archie Harrison.

Now, it appears that Prince Harry is about to have a very special role on a beloved TV show.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have several projects in the works

From their tell-all book, Thoroughly Modern Royals: The Real World of Meghan and Harry in collaboration with journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, to Prince Harry’s newly launched HeadFIT initiative, the Sussexes are more than ready to get back to work.

They currently have a powerhouse Hollywood team at their disposal, negotiating projects for them when the pandemic restrictions lift. However, their biggest project is the Sussexes’ forthcoming Archewell brand. According to the trademark paperwork that the couple filed, the brand could consist of movies, podcasts, clothing, charitable services, online seminars, lectures, and retreats.

“Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic but faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be,” the Sussexes shared in a statement. “Before SussexRoyal, came the idea of ‘Arche’—the Greek word meaning ‘source of action.’ We connected to this concept for the charitable organization we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son’s name. To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon.”

Prince Harry doesn’t want to be a celebrity

Though the Sussexes are excited about their new path, living in LA is going to be especially tricky for Prince Harry who doesn’t consider himself to be a celebrity.

“Harry, when I interviewed him, said one of the things he absolutely didn’t want to do was be thought of as a celebrity. This was after he met Meghan, but before they married,” royal biographer Angela Levin told Newsweek. “He explained the difference: that celebrities can pick and choose when they want the press to be there, but if you’re a royal, you’re on duty 24/7.”

However, it seems that in order to define himself outside of the British royal family and to make his wife happy, the duke does want to make an effort in LA, even if it doesn’t turn out to be the Sussexes’ permanent home.

Prince Harry will appear on ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’

Though he might not be able to do much amid the coronavirus pandemic, Prince Harry is certainly putting his visibility and newfound freedom to good use. Harry will star in a special episode of Thomas the Tank Engine called, Thomas & Friends: The Royal Engine. The episode will mark the 75th anniversary of the iconic children’s character. Prince Harry will introduce the 22-minute episode, with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II appearing later in cartoon form.

Thomas the Tank Engine has been a comforting, familiar face to so many families over the last 75 years – entertaining, educating and inspiring children on important issues through exciting stories and characters,” the prince said in a statement. “I certainly have fond memories of growing up with Thomas & Friends and being transported to new places through his adventures. I am very proud to have been asked to take part in this special episode. I wish Thomas & Friends a very happy anniversary.”

We’re sure Archie will be positively delighted by this.
