Prince William Is Reportedly ‘Worried’ That Conversations With His Brother Will Be Made Public by Prince Harry

Prince William and Prince Harry were once close, but as tensions rose over the past few years, the brothers have become distant. Now, William is reportedly worried that conversations with his brother could be made public.

Prince Harry hasn’t shied away from discussing his former life with the public. Harry, who married Meghan Markle in 2018 and subsequently left the royal family with her in 2020, recently sat down alongside his wife for an interview with Oprah Winfrey. The two didn’t hold back, and now Prince William is reportedly worried that private conversations with his brother could result in Harry going public with their discussions.

Prince William and Prince Harry have had a strained relationship for several years

Harry and William have always been different. Growing up, Harry had a much more wanderlust way about him, while William was aware from a young age that his job was to one day become King of the United Kingdom. When the two lost their mother, they grew closer, having gone through such a traumatic experience together.

The tension reportedly started when William saw how quickly Harry was moving with his then-girlfriend, Meghan Markle. Harry and Meghan had started dating in summer 2016, and by fall 2017, they were engaged. There were rumors that William warned his brother he was moving too quickly, but Harry didn’t listen. Harry and Meghan tied the knot in spring 2018, and the tension between Harry and William has been growing ever since.

Prince William is reportedly ‘worried’ about private conversations with his brother going public

In Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview, the couple revealed what life was really like for them in the royal family. Meghan revealed that she was “silenced” by the royal family despite wanting to speak out when the press berated her. The duchess also revealed that Kate Middleton made her cry during the week of her wedding — not the other way around.

Harry seemed to be in agreement with all of Meghan’s claims, and it now reportedly has Prince William “worried” that the private conversations he has had with his brother could be made public.

“William is now worried that anything he says to his brother will be plastered over American TV,” said a source close to William, according to Express.

The worry reportedly comes after CBS reporter Gayle King revealed that she received word that Harry had spoken to his father and brother after the interview. It appears, at least to William, that Harry is telling the press whenever he and his brother speak.

Do William’s concerns stem from Harry’s admittance to a discussion about Archie’s skin?

During Harry and Meghan’s interview, the couple shared that there were “conversations” about Archie’s skin tone happening within the royal family prior to his birth. Could William’s worry about leaked conversations have something to do with this revelation by Meghan? It’s impossible to say, but should Harry and Meghan’s comments be true, it could suggest that William had that particular exchange on his mind when he grew worried over what else might be spilled.

Neither William nor his father, Prince Charles, have admitted to having the conversation about race with their son-in-law, and Harry has denied that it was Prince Philip or his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. It’s unclear who made the comment, and Harry and Meghan have vowed not to reveal the royal’s identity.
