‘Queer Eye’: Who is the Most Popular Member of the Fab Five in Your State?

With the arrival of season three of Queer Eye, it’s safe to say that fans are absolutely obsessed with the show. The heartwarming stories, the fashion, the transformations, it’s all almost too much to take. Episode after episode, the series leaves you wanting more and searching for tissues.

A remake of the Bravo show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Queer Eye follows the Fab Five, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk, Tan France, and Antoni Porowski as they meet new people, get to know them, and positively change their lives.

Though the beauty, fashion, and home makeovers are great, the most endearing part of the show is what happens to the subjects internally. In each episode, the Fab Five are able to connect with the person being made over and get to the root of what is going on in their lives.

Without the Fab Five, the show would be nothing.

Who is the most popular Fab Five member?

Everyone has their favorite member of the Fab Five. Maybe you are a fashion lover, so you connect with France or maybe you can’t get enough of Van Ness’ hair. Either way, there is one member of the group that has probably wormed their way into your heart a little more than the others.

The most popular member of The Fab Five actually differs by state. According to a study conducted by Bespoke Surgical, Jonathan Van Ness is the most popular castmate overall.

Using data from Google Trends, Bespoke Surgical was able to determine that Van Ness was the favorite in 24 states, while Brown came out on top in 12 and France in nine. Porowski and Berk trailed in the rankings with four and two states, respectively.

If we take a step back and look at it by region, Van Ness still dominates the North, Midwest, and West, while Brown takes over the South as the most popular Fab Five member.

Who has the biggest Instagram following?

Another measure of popularity in this digital age is Instagram following. Van Ness also has the most Instagram followers of any member of the Fab Five. He currently has 3.1 million followers and is only following 623 people. Though Porowski is the most popular member in only 4 states, he has the second highest Instagram follower count. Right now, he is sitting at 2.9 million followers and is only following 345 people. France comes in the third place spot just as he did in the state ranking. He currently has 2.3 million followers and follows 116 people. Brown has 1.9 million followers and follows 466 people.

Unfortunately for Berk, he comes in last place, not only in the number of states where he is popular, but also in Instagram following. He has 1.8 million followers which is over 1 million less than Van Ness. He also follows over 1,400 people, which is more than any other member of the crew.

Which Fab Five member is paid the most?

If the Fab Five was paid by popularity, Van Ness would make much more than the rest of the team. Fortunately for Berk, the cast was all paid the same amount for seasons one and two. The cast was each paid $7,500 per episode for the first two seasons of the show.
