Print magazines are a dying breed, but there are still people who want the tactile experience of holding a physical item in their hands. That’s why Rachael Ray still offers a quarterly magazine, though it’s currently being distributed to newsstands only without a subscription option.

Fans are going to love getting their hands on Rachael Ray In Season, which was formerly known as Rachael Ray Every Day. And they’re about to fall in love even more with the completely redesigned format that brings fan requests front and center.

You can expect better photography and more streamlined content going forward, making it well worth the $9.99 per issue price tag.

Rachael Ray’s magazine is getting a complete makeover

It’s impressive enough that Ray’s former magazine survived the massive decline in magazine sales, which forced some publications to close up completely and entire publishing houses to go out of business. But Ray knows she has a superior product to sell.

“This new format delivers richer, more seasonal, more of-the-moment content that’s personal in every way. It’s designed to be more of a keepsake and a collector’s item,” Ray explained of the changes.

“To enhance the actionable ideas we provide, I’ve invited my inner circle to contribute to the magazine, like caterer to the stars Mary Giuliani, my dear friends and super-dads David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris, and my most trusted advisor on wine Rita Jammet.”

The presentation and quality of content are both improved

The new magazine will have thicker pages, upgraded photography, and more in-depth editorial sections. Ray said it’s meant to be more of a keepsake item, like a cookbook to treasure for years to come. And once you taste some of the recipes, it’ll be obvious why you’d want to keep this new magazine on hand.

The focus for the new Rachael Ray In Season is quality over quantity. As Editor in Chief Lauren Iannotti explained, “Our readers told us they’re not looking to try 100 new recipes every month. In Rachael Ray In Season, we’re boiling it down to the true must-makes, and giving our readers an experience they’ll want to stretch out and spend time with, rather than race through.”

She also confirmed that content about the celebrity chef will still feature prominently. “We’ll have even more Rachael throughout the magazine, and a fresh, immersive feel,” Iannotti said.

The features have a feel that’s distinctly Rachael Ray

The latest Winter/Spring 2020 issue includes features such as Rach’s Sunday Dinner, which has recipes perfect for warming up on cold winter’s nights. The 3 Minute Meal section harnesses Ray’s talent whipping up quick, delicious, healthful meals the whole family can enjoy on busy evenings.

What’s Fresh highlights seasonal ingredients and makes the most of fresh produce right now. And finally, The Dish goes beyond the plate and includes Ray’s beauty recommendations plus travel and home décor tidbits.

Ray is on top of the world right now with a new cookbook slash memoir, a successful Food Network show, and now a timely magazine that fans will cherish even more than before.
