Ramona Singer is the last OG of The Real Housewives of New York City and has held an apple for 13 seasons. Many may think that Luann de Lesseps has been on the show just as long, which is true, but the Countess was demoted in season 6 to a “friend of.” There are rumors going around that Singer’s time as a housewife might be over as Bravo gets ready for a major cast shakeup. However, a new report is suggesting that another housewife is behind the “anti-Ramona” leaks in an effort to get her off the series.
Is Ramona Singer returning to ‘RHONY’ Season 14?
Reports of a major cast shakeup on RHONY come after most of The Real Housewives franchises experiment with changes. However, those rumors usually happen when the show is off the air and prepping its new season. The New York City franchise is in the middle of airing season 13 and Singer continues to be in the middle of the drama — even after 13 years on the show.
“We do not make casting decisions this early in the year, we decide after the reunion episodes have aired,” a source told Daily Mail. “The production company Shed and the network Bravo really take into account what the fans say online and how they respond to the cast.”
The network insider claimed that Singer was not going anywhere and that the previous report was false. But where did the information come from? The tipster claimed that the negative stories about Singer are coming from one of her co-stars that wants her gone.
“One Housewife, in particular, has it out for Ramona and she wants her off the show. This Housewife is leaking to news organizations that Ramona is fired in an attempt to push the network to get rid of her,” the source added. “Over the coming weeks until the reunion is filmed there will be ‘anti-Ramona’ stories leaked everywhere as this Housewife attempts to push her off the show.”
Why would Ramona Singer be in danger of getting booted?
Singer has been a pillar to RHONY from the beginning and has shared her whole life over the years. The pinot grigio enthusiast started off the show married to Mario Singer and showcased her loving marriage. However, years later that facade of a perfect marriage crumbled and they ended up getting a divorce. Newly single, Singer was given an opportunity to show how she carried on after divorce and has been a hit since.
A report from Radar Online claimed that producers were not happy with Singer anymore and wanted to mix it up. The source also claimed that the reality star came at a hefty price as she had been on the show the longest.
“Ramona will not be invited back to the next season of the show, which is currently not in production, for a couple of reasons,” the source claimed. “One, she is too expensive. She is the only lady that has been on the show from day one and her salary reflects it.”
Fans of Singer can rest easy for now and tune in to the show to see what happens next. The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
