The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has finally premiered, and fans already have a new favorite saying from the first episode. There are six new housewives – Jen Shah, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, and Lisa Barlow. However, two of them already have some major beef – and it’s over a hospital smell.

Jen and Mary were once good friends, but there’s drama in paradise now. Mary made a comment about a hospital smell after hugging Jen, which turned into some major drama. “So, Jen and I used to be good, until I said it smelled like hospital,” Mary tells the cameras.

The pair met up at a restaurant with some other people. When Jen came in, she had been at the hospital visiting her aunt who had to have her legs amputated, and she obviously greeted Mary. “Mary knew what I was dealing with, for her to say those comments to me like, you’re just flat out being mean,” Jen says about her take on the situation.

Jen throws a party for Meredith, and while there, she and Mary sit down and talk, but it all leads to even more drama between them. During the conversation, Mary says that she had 12 surgeries previously to have her “odor glands removed.”

“The worst experience of my life, like dark, very dark,” Mary explains. “I mean they lost me twice.” She admits that she won’t go to the hospital now, not even for a nose job.

Jen relays what happened to her aunt again, and that Mary was “being mean” by making that comment. Mary then inquires who told Jen that, and Jen reveals it was Keri, who gets called over.

Mary asks Keri if she told Jen that she said that she “smelled like hospital,” and Keri bluntly states, “I absolutely did.” This leads to more drama, and Mary even mentions that Keri smelled like it as well and she could smell her that night.

“I just smelt hospital that’s all,” Mary tells Jen again. “It wasn’t to be mean.”

At one point, Mary even asks Keri if she can “be quiet” and tells her that she can “leave.” When Mary asks Jen what she wants her to do, Jen replies with: “Not say you smell like hospital when she gets both legs amputated,” she replies referring to her aunt. She admits that it “hurt” her, and she eventually walks away visibly upset.
