Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, completed their final duties as senior royals in March 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have since moved to California with their family and Harry hasn’t been back in the U.K. much. However, he is returning to England soon but he won’t be alone. Harry will be accompanied by a Netflix film crew.

The news had set alarm bells to some wondering what the prince is planning on filming given his explosive remarks about life as a British royal and his strained relationship with some members of his family. So should anyone in the palace be worried when Harry arrives in the country with a production crew?

Prince Harry and Meghan’s deal with Netflix

On Sept. 2, 2020, Harry and Meghan announced that they had inked a deal with Netflix in a statement that read:

Our lives, both independent of each other, and as a couple have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection. Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.

The Sussexes’ deal is reportedly worth more than $100 million and the pair will be producing a number of programs for the streaming giant. And now, their first project is bringing Harry right back to the U.K.

The duke’s next trip abroad won’t be focused on family drama but rather a project close to his heart.

According to the Express, Harry will return to the U.K. before the end of 2021 to plan for next year’s Invictus Games. The games, which were canceled last year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, will take place in Holland but the duke will spend a weekend in Nottinghamshire. It’s believed that Harry will even visit with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, during that time.

“The Duke of Sussex will want to make sure we are ready as the last games were canceled… We are hoping that the situation in April next year allows the games to go ahead as planned,” a source told Express.

A small film crew will be with the prince as he addresses participants at Stanford Hall, which is the Army’s rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers. The documentary will be titled Heart of Invictus.
