Ree Drummond Candy Coated Christmas treats are ‘The Pioneer Woman’ star favorites

Drummond’s mint brownie bites make their movie debut along with The Pioneer Woman star. In a video from discovery+, Drummond talked more about her delicious chocolate mint treat and how it was a great fit for the movie.

My character Bee owns a bakery and coffee shop,” she explained. “I own a bakery in my small town and a restaurant and coffee shop. So basically, I’m using my personality and mannerisms to inform who Bee is. And I think that’s what the directors had in mind.”

Drummond continued, “I contributed some of my own recipes to Bee’s Bakery. My peppermint brownie bites make an appearance a couple of times in this Christmas movie. I think the holidays just lend themselves so well to peppermint anything … And it’s going to be fun to kind of see my recipes come to life in the Christmas movie.”

How to make Drummond’s mint brownie bites recipe

Drummond’s mint brownie bites seen in Candy Coated Christmas are an easy treat to make. “You know, I always make cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve,” she explained on an episode of The Pioneer Woman. “But I received a note from him this year that he’s in the mood for brownies.” “Far be it for me to go against Santa’s wishes on Christmas Eve.”

She started by spraying nonstick baking spray in a mini muffin pan, then melted unsweetened chocolate and chocolate after dinner mints together. Drummond creamed together butter and sugar, added eggs, and slowly drizzled in the chocolate mixture while the mixer ran at low speed. Drummond added flour and mint extract to the brownie batter. She scooped the batter into the muffin tin and baked the brownies in a 325 degree Fahrenheit oven for 12 minutes.

After they cooled, The Pioneer Woman star dipped the brownies into melted chocolate mint, bittersweet chocolate, and butter. She placed the brownies on a rack and spooned more melted chocolate over the top of each. Drummond added chopped chocolate mint bits as a finishing touch.
