Ree Drummond’s husband Ladd suffered a new ranch injury

On June 17, Drummond took to Instagram to post a video that perfectly illustrated how tough Ladd is. “Ladd gave the cow two choices: Turn around and join the other cows, or run him over. She chose the latter. (You should see his leg…) Moo!” she wrote in the caption.

In the video, she asks Ladd, “How was your day, dear?” Then she reveals his ripped shirt and a cut on his back after he says, “It was good” while petting the dog.

“You sure about that?” she asked him. “What happened back here?”

Ladd was surprisingly low-key about the incident. “Cow ran over me. Knocked me down,” he told her. “I was like a turtle on my back.”

Author Jen Hatmaker commented, “This is why Ladd is a cowboy and we are writers. The melodrama I would have emoted if a cow ran me over. I would never stop exaggerating it. *Ladd just pets the dog.*”

Ree responded, “The melodrama I am emoting as I chase him around the house with my tube of Neosporin.”

Ree Drummond’s fans marveled at Ladd’s calm reaction

Some fans commented about how rugged Drummond’s cowboy husband is and his overall calm reaction.

“This is the life of a cowboy. Glad to see Ladd’s OK though!,” one Drummond follower commented.

“‘A cow ran over me’ — so nonchalant,” another person noted. “I guess after his neck injury, nothing will phase Ladd now. Glad he’s OK!”

Another fan remarked, “A true hard-as-nails cowboy.” Other fans commented, “It’s tough being a real cowboy. Heal up quickly!” and “Ladd might be a superhero. Has Marvel called yet?”

When one of her followers wrote, “This is me and my rancher husband. Nothing is ever a big deal and I’m like ‘Why are you trying to die!!,'” Ree responded, “Ladd is not afraid of death and I just don’t understand this philosophy.”

Another fan noted, “He is so calm about it! ‘Eh a cow ran over me.'”

Others pointed out the attention Ladd was giving the dogs. “Love how he’s loving on those pups, not too concerned about his back,” one person noted. Another person remarked, “I love how he is trying to be stoic and not show you how much it hurts but is taking comfort from the fur baby.”
