Reginae Carter and YFN Lucci have made headlines recently

Carter and Lucci were together for a couple of years. The relationship garnered a lot of publicity because Carter, 21, is almost 10 years Lucci’s younger than him and he has two children. They broke up in August 2019 but rumors swirled months later that they could still be together. The breaking point in their relationship was when Lucci went to a part hosted by Love & Hip Hop star Alexis Skyy and rapper Trouble. Skyy and her boyfriend at the time held a #CucumberChallenge party. The party included a “cucumber contest, inviting the guests to use the vegetable in the most unimaginable way possible and the idea was to see who could get most graphic with it.”

On the current season of T.I. and Tiny: The Friends and Family Hustle, Carter has spoken about the breakup and she has also posted about it on social media.

Last week, Carter made headlines when Page Six published an interview in which the outlet framed as shading YFN Lucci. The outlet said that Carter said, in reference to her love life, “I’m not bringing no dudes on the show. I’m not making nobody famous. I’m not putting nobody on no more,” she said.

In the interview, she also said that she was thinking about moving to another city for her next relationship, adding, “It’s hard dating in Atlanta — everybody knows everybody … I definitely feel like I need to leave and go to LA; that’s like, probably the only place that I can go.”

Carter clarifies comments she made the other day

Taking to her Instagram to go live, Carter expounded upon the comments she made and said she was not directly referencing her relationship with YFN Lucci when she said she wasn’t “making nobody famous anymore.” She said in the Page Six interview, she never intended for her comments to come across as if she was referring to her ex.

Carter explained, “I don’t if they heard me wrong or something, I don’t know, or if they’re trying to start something, but I don’t want no beef. This is not gonna be no ugly breakup. He doing him, I’m doing me. I never claimed anybody’s fame. I never said anything like that.”
