Padma Lakshmi and Doctor Oz were recently interviewed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and the questions all had to do with sex. Besides questions on how to make a man last longer in the bedroom, and whether cum is actually good for your skin, one person had a very interesting question – are there any foods that are better to use in the bedroom during oral sex?

Padma Lakshmi actually had a very quick and thorough response to the viewer’s question – and it’s one the adult world really needs to know. So what is the one food Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi recommends in the bedroom? Here’s what she said.

What food comes highly recommended for oral sex?

According to Padma Lakshmi, it’s frozen grapes that she recommends for use during oral bedroom play. She went into great detail on how to use them, as well as which ones you should choose. Here’s what Lakshmi had to say on the topic.

Lakshmi states you should choose green grapes, because the red and black grapes will stain the sheets as they thaw (which body temperature will obviously expedite). To use the frozen green grapes in bedroom play, you should start by first washing them with water to ensure they’re clean and don’t contain any pesticides or bacteria. Then, pat them gently dry with a clean napkin. Place a few in a Ziploc freezer bag and store in the freezer for as long as desired.

When you’re ready to use the grapes, Lakshmi says you can use them just like ben wa balls. For those who aren’t sure what they are, ben wa balls are better known as “kegel” balls. They have dual uses, with the most commonly known being a form of exercise which strengthens the pelvic floor and tightens vaginal muscles. The second, both on it’s own and as a byproduct of the first use, is to dramatically increase a woman’s pleasure in the bedroom.

Dr. Oz agreed

Also being interviewed, Dr. Oz agreed with Padma Lakshmi’s frozen grape suggestion. He even added the statement that sweet fruits are better in the bedroom, although he didn’t go into detail why. We did a little research, however, and found that many sweet fruits are natural aphrodisiacs. This makes frozen green grapes a double whammy for oral sex.

Who is Padma Lakshmi?

Padma Lakshmi was born on September 1st, 1970 in Madras, Tamil, India. She is best known as the host (and producer) of Top Chef, but has multiple other credits to her name. As an actress, Lakshmi has made appearances in Glitter, Boom, and The Mistress of Spices. She also has a highly successful modeling career.

Interestingly enough, Lakshmi does not have a traditional background in food. She had not worked in a “legitimate” restaurant kitchen prior to being hired to host Top Chef… but that doesn’t mean she didn’t have any food experience. While working as a model, Padma Lakshmi traveled all over the world and tasted different ethnic foods as she went.

This experience served her well, and even earned her some praise from Chef Eric Ripert. Ripert said to a fellow chef on the show, “Padma has a really sensitive palate, like one of the most sensitive palates of anyone I’ve ever met!” Lakshmi says she held onto those words anytime she doubted herself, and continued to learn on the job.

Now, she has gone on to write four best selling cookbooks. These include Tangy, Tart, Hot, and Sweet: A World of Recipes for Everyday, The Encyclopedia of Spices and Herbs: An Essential Guide to the Flavors of the World, Easy Exotic: A Model’s Low-Fat Recipes from Around the World, and Love, Loss, and What We Ate: A Memoir
