Moore confirmed the split in a special statement, citing “recent and ongoing circumstances” as the reasons behind the breakup. Kenya Moore confirms divorce
Moore and Daly exchanged vows in the summer of 2017 following a whirlwind romance. The two had their first child, Brooklyn Doris Daly, a year later.
Sadly, things quickly unraveled for the couple and Moore confirmed the split in a recent statement. The RHOA star was pretty vague about the divorce, telling fans that she “can no longer continue in the marriage.”
Kenya Moore added that she is putting her focus on her daughter now that Daly is not in the picture. She also asked fans to give her privacy as she deals with what has turned into a difficult situation.
Fans can expect to learn a whole lot more about what happened in the new season of RHOA. In fact, Moore’s marital woes are expected to take center stage as the series enters its 12th season.
The divorce news is incredibly sad for Moore, but, if the reports about Daly are true, it sounds like she may be better for it in the end.
Inside Marc Daly’s secret life
While they were happy to start a family together, sources claim that Moore and Daly had troubles from the very beginning of their romance. According to All About The Tea, Daly was never really close with Moore during the first year of their marriage. The RHOA star did not see this as a red flag, however, and chalked it up to Daly living in New York.
What Kenya Moore did not know is that Daly has a secret life in Brooklyn, complete with a family of his own. Sources claim that Daly has been seeing a mystery woman in the area and that the two share several children.
“Marc has always been distant from Kenya and she assumed it was because he lived in Brooklyn but found out that he’s been seeing another woman that he has kids with,” the insider dished. “Marc has been seeing this woman for years and loves her very much.”
The source noted that the only reason Daly started seeing Moore was that she promised to pay off his debts. Daly, however, could not take Moore’s drama and wanted out of the relationship after filming for RHOA season 12 concluded.
The insider also stated that Moore pushed Daly to get in front of the cameras because she thought it would help her stay relevant on the show — a move that ultimately backfired.
As fans will recall, Kenya Moore took a major pay cut this season and only came back as a friend of the cast. Moore earned $500,000 for the upcoming season of RHOA, which is less than half of her previous salary.
Moore takes some heat for the divorce
In light of the divorce announcement, Moore’s co-stars on RHOA did not expect her to attend the cast trip to Greece this season. Turns out, they were dead wrong.
NeNe Leakes and Marlo Hampton have been sharing photos of the cast trip on social media, and Moore was spotted in a photo Kandi Burruss shared on her Instagram account.
While it looks like Moore put her heartbreak aside, a few of her RHOA co-stars allegedly confronted her about the split.
Several cast members thought it was suspicious how Kenya Moore’s relationship with Daly fell apart so quickly, and a few of them think that the entire marriage was a sham.
A source claims that the group — lead by Leakes — confronted Moore about what happened, and many of them do not know if they can trust her. Some of the women apparently believe that Moore’s marriage was not real and that she used Daly to gain attention.
That said, another insider says that Porsha Williams is fully supporting Moore through this difficult time. Williams, of course, has bonded with Kenya Moore this past year over their shared experience of becoming a mom.
Daly has not responded to the reports about his double life.
Bravo has not revealed when season 12 of the RHOA will premiere, though the series traditionally returns around November of each year.
