‘RHOA’: Marlo Hampton ‘Would Love to Take’ Eva Marcille’s Peach for Season 13
Marlo Hampton is one of the most controversial figures of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The reality star has been stirring up drama for years but has never been offered a peach as an official housewife. After Nene Leakes said Eva Marcille should get cut from the Bravo cast, Hampton is mixed on whether she would take her spot.
What did Nene Leakes say?
The “tastiest peach” in Atlanta is not holding back her opinions on her co-stars. In a recent interview, she said she would ax Marcille from RHOA because she wasn’t adding anything to the show.
“We have a great cast right now except for one person, I think,” Leakes told Entertainment Tonight. “I think only one person on this cast doesn’t seem to have carried any weight this season. And I think that’s very obvious who that person is, and I don’t think they actually sit in the cast that well.”
Leakes believes the former model has not “carried any weight this season.” She missed out on an epic trip to Greece because she was pregnant and was only seen through a FaceTime video call.
“I don’t feel like Eva brings that much to the cast,” Leakes added. “I’m just being honest. It’s really like, when you look at a show like, everybody — like the whole cast — is away, and you don’t miss the person at all, it’s sort of like, we didn’t even know you were here, you know? And all season, doing a lot of scenes from FaceTime, that’s been the last couple of seasons … So, If I had to change, I would change her.”
Would Marlo Hampton like to be promoted?
Leakes also suggested that it was time for Hampton to get a peach and be promoted to full-time instead of just a friend role. When Hampton was asked if she would like the idea of becoming an official Housewife she said she would, but not if represented hardship for Marcille.
“Listen, I don’t like for anyone not to have a job but, I’m not gonna lie, I would love to take her position,” Hampton told Entertainment Tonight. “I would definitely — my fans would be so excited, they would love it. But I don’t want Eva to lose her job. I don’t want her to have financial hardships again, and I’m glad that she has her position.”
Hampton reiterated what Leakes said about Marcille and even said she’s actually a diva behind-the-scenes.
“But, yeah, NeNe definitely feels that way,” she added. “She just feels that she doesn’t bring it like the rest of us bring it. Eva is more of a diva with the producers. As in, ‘I’m doing this…’ or ‘I’m not doing that…’ or, ‘No.’ She’s just… it’s like, girl, this isn’t L.A. this is ATL, you know? We got a little hood in us, a little bit. We bring it.”
Season 13 of RHOA was supposed to start filming soon but with the coronavirus pandemic, that has been pushed back. Even the season 12 reunion was postponed and it might just be a video call this year.
