‘RHOA’: Nene Leakes Wants Eva Marcille Gone, Names the Two ‘Housewives’ She Would Return
Nene Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta has always been known to tell it like it is. The “tastiest peach” has not shied away from calling out her co-stars, especially Kenya Moore. Leakes has been at odds with the latter and has taken digs at her at every opportunity she’s gotten. However, fans were shocked when Leakes dropped a bombshell on the housewife she wants off the show.
In a new interview, Leakes has ignited a feud with Eva Marcille claiming that she has not “carried any weight this season.”
“We have a great cast right now except for one person, I think,” Leakes told Entertainment Tonight. “I think only one person on this cast doesn’t seem to have carried any weight this season. And I think that’s very obvious who that person is, and I don’t think they actually sit in the cast that well.”
Marcille has been pregnant throughout season 12 of the show and has not been part of most of the drama. She skipped the most hated moment of the season between Leakes and Moore as she didn’t travel to Greece due to her giving birth.
“I don’t feel like Eva brings that much to the cast,” Leakes added. “I’m just being honest. It’s really like, when you look at a show like, everybody — like the whole cast — is away, and you don’t miss the person at all, it’s sort of like, we didn’t even know you were here, you know? And all season, doing a lot of scenes from FaceTime, that’s been the last couple of seasons … So, If I had to change, I would change her.”
Leakes assures that she has no “harsh feelings towards” Marcille but it appears “she has harsh feelings towards” her.
Who would Nene Leakes bring back?
If Leakes had it her way, she would swap Marcille for Kim Zolciak. However, the Glee alum notes that she “has no interest in returning to Housewives” as she has her own spinoff show on Bravo.
Another housewife Leakes would like to see return is Phaedra Parks, who left after season 9. At the time of her departure, it was revealed she was behind a rumor about Kandi Burruss trying to drug Porsha Williams to have intimacy with her.
“Yeah, that’s kinda the bad thing about it, but still, I would like to see her come on as, like, a friend of the show,” Leakes explained. “Play around for a couple of episodes, because I still think there’s unfinished business there. I think it is unfair for the rest of the cast to face people who they have issues with and then she doesn’t get to face who she has an issue with. So, the one time she had a real issue with somebody, all of a sudden, they have to be off the show? So, I don’t think that part is fair, and I think it’s OK for me to speak my opinion about that, Kandi, and I will continue to do so.”
Leakes also said that she would like her friend Marlo Hampton to finally get promoted to a full-time housewife. Hampton has been a “friend of” and made guest appearances since season 4.
