Porsha Williams says goodbye to ‘Dish Nation’

Williams took to her Instagram account to announce that she was leaving Dish Nation after eight years as co-host, something that was not easy for the entrepreneur.

“For the past eight years, I’ve worked on one of the most fun, collaborative, exciting, and best-produced shows on television,” she posted. “But as I continuously start new chapters in my life, it means I have to close others.”

The mother of one said that her last day on the talk show would be on August 27. News of her departure comes as Bravo’s Chat Room was picked up for another run on Bravo where she will dish it again with co-host Gizelle Bryant.

“Since 2013, everybody at Dish has been like family to me,” she continued. “There’s a lot of people I’ve met along this journey that I am incredibly thankful for. Whether it was on-air or behind the scenes, they’ve endlessly supported my career and more importantly, my happiness.”

Williams was grateful for the opportunity given to her to appear on the television show, and in particular, Rick Smiley for believing in her.

“Thank you all for an unforgettable run and almost 10 years of my life I am eternally grateful for. Keep dishing! Love you,” she ended.

Andy Cohen talks ‘RHOA’ cast shakeup

There have been a lot of rumors about the future of RHOA as they get ready to start filming season 14. Reports that the series was going to undergo a cast overhaul have been rampant. Andy Cohen was recently asked about the changes and the possibility that Williams and Cynthia Bailey were out of the show.

“You know what? We are noodling with the configuration of Atlanta as we speak,” Cohen revealed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I just threw out a little piece of paper that has the names of who I believe the cast will be. I am not going to show you … there are six names on this list.”

Cohen didn’t reveal which housewives were returning and which were getting the boot. The current RHOA lineup is made up of five women which include Williams, Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Drew Sidora, and Kenya Moore. Cohen teasing that there are six housewives for next season would mean that there could potentially be one new star. OG housewife Sheree Whitfield is rumored to be returning for a third stint on the show. She last appeared in season 10 after holding a peach for two seasons.

Although Cohen’s lips were sealed completely, he did say he was open to bringing back housewives from the past like in other franchises.

“I always love Sheree,” he said, without confirming anything. “I mean, we just brought Heather Dubrow back in Orange County and I thought that was great. It would be fun — I think it would be fun to bring someone back who no one would [expect].”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to air sometime next year on Bravo.
