In recent years, Hampton has been questioned about how she has made her money. There have been many rumors as to how she maintains her lavish lifestyle and has been linked to billionaire Ted Turner.

Hampton made an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show who did not fret in asking the questions fans inquire about. Although the RHOA guest star did not reveal she had a relationship with Turner, she did acknowledge she met a billionaire. When she worked at the mall in Atlanta, she said the rich man had been eyeing her for six months.

“So I was telling my friend, ‘This guy just sits there… It’s really freaky,'” Hampton said. “Valentine’s Day, he walked over and gave me a card. He said, ‘I love your work ethic.’ He said, ‘I see you come to work every day. You dress so nice.’ Gave me a Valentine’s Day card.”

That’s how a 5-year relationship started with the billionaire that gifted her a townhouse.

Why isn’t Marlo Hampton a housewife?

One question that always keeps coming up about Hampton is why she hasn’t received a peach. The reality show star has stirred the pot on RHOA for many seasons but she has not been made a full-time housewife.

There are rumors online that the reason she has not been given a contract by Bravo is because of her past. Hampton used a gay slur and producer Andy Cohen found it in poor taste at the time and hasn’t considered upping her ever since.

Cohen, who was recently interviewed by RHOA star Kandi Burruss for her YouTube channel, weighed on Hampton receiving a peach.

“I think it’s preliminary to say that she’s never gonna get a peach,” the Bravo personality said. “I was telling Marlo [at] Gay Pride. She was on our float. The night before I was at this gay hip-hop party. And I was leaving very late and these guys were outside and they were like, ‘Give Marlo a peach!’ It was so awesome!”

Cohen added that producers have not agreed on offering Hampton a full-time role on RHOA.

“It’s not that I don’t love her, but she’s all over the show — that’s why I think sometimes people get hung up on semantics,” Cohen continued. “And the Housewives is not indentured servitude. It is not something that, you know- people volunteer to do it. … So trust and believe that people are being taken care of in one way or another. … She has a great attitude. I feel like everything’s cool.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
