Viewers have watched Cynthia Bailey’s love story with Mike Hill unfold on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which led to an engagement last year. Through the show and social media, Bailey has let fans in on her relationship piece by piece, and they’ve gotten to know a little bit more about her man.

This week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta saw Cynthia visit her fiancé in Los Angeles. Things got a little awkward when ghosts of Hill’s relationships past came up.

Cynthia had questions for Hill’s friends

During her stay, Cynthia got the chance to meet some of Hill’s friends, most of whom were female. He had at least six that Cynthia counted, including Vanessa, Carmen, and Nickie, and she was wondering if he dated any of them. When she asked why he doesn’t have many male friends, the ladies chimed in and said they also wondered the same thing.

After meeting them, Cynthia wants to read the manuscript for Hill’s tell-all book which touches on his past relationships. She has a ton of questions for them including how different he is now that he’s engaged. She learns that she’s the first girlfriend he’s shared on social media and with the world. Why? Because there were so many, they say.

Hill’s past infidelities came up

With Hill’s daughter Kayla sitting in on the party discussion, everyone starts talking about his previous marriages. Kayla doesn’t look too happy. Hill says that before Cynthia, he’d never really been in love, and his friends agree. He added that he apologized to his daughters’ moms for past transgressions.

In the confessional, Cynthia says, “He has cheated on his wives before me. What makes me different?” During this lively discussion, Cynthia has her thoughts and Kayla leaves the room upset. Hearing her father talk about never being in love and cheating has Kayla in tears.

Off-camera, Cynthia is only looking ahead

The model/businesswoman recently opened up to the Daily Dish and said that she’s not dwelling on Hill’s past:

“When it comes to Mike’s past, his past has nothing to do with me. I’m only looking toward my future with this man and I love the person that he is today. I love the way he’s grown just as a person, as a fiancé, as a dad, as a man. And with that said, we all have a past. We all have had different things that we’ve struggled with. It’s not my place to judge him, judge somebody that I didn’t know.”

Hill added that he believes it’s made his relationship with Cynthia stronger that he was so open about it while writing his book, Open Mike.

“So because she is the first person I’ve ever been with that I’ve been able to be open about my past transgressions and shown her that I’m trying to grow, that I want to grow, that I’m still a work in progress. People have flaws or whatever, but she’s working with me and she knows that. She loves me for the person that I am today.”

Bailey stated that the pair are only looking ahead and Hill invoked his faith, and said he’s working on only doing the right thing in the future.
