Lisa Rinna from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is getting flack from social media. The controversial Bravo star has been very vocal about her co-stars and now people are taking the opportunity to take shots at her. Why is Amelia Gray Hamlin saying she’s ‘forced’ to be on reality TV?

Rinna joined RHOBH in season 5 and has been an open book about her life. The Veronica Mars alum has invited cameras into her home where she shares snippets of her life with her husband Harry Hamlin and her daughters.

Over the years, her daughter Gray Hamlin has opened up about suffering from an eating disorder. She talked about her struggles about living with it and was considered to be brave for telling her story for millions to witness.

There was a rumor that the young model lied about suffering from anorexia to allegedly get more “air time” on the Bravo reality series. After seeing this on social media, Gray Hamlin fired back.

“I usually don’t post these but this really got to me,” Gray Hamlin posted on Instagram Stories. “Lying about a mental illness is disgusting, something I hope nobody would ever do. I seriously can’t believe I’m being accused of lying about my anorexia to get more ‘air time.'”

“Sorry, but I’m forced to be on the Housewives by my mom,” she continued. “Ask anyone, it’s the last thing I want to do. I couldn’t care less about air time. So f**k you.”

Fans react to Amelia Gray Hamlin’s statement

It wasn’t long before RHOBH fans took to social media to react to Gray Hamlin’s statement. The comments headed toward Rinna were not nice at all.

“Fake Rinna professes she’s sharing her own life,” a fan replied. “Instead, she pimps out her own daughter for [money] allowing viewers into her own daughter’s issues. Rinna, the hustler, will backstab, slander, play Judas for that almighty dollar before she ever divulges any truth about herself.”

“I feel like Amelia may have worded that wrong,” a viewer noted. “LIke her mom, probably, encouraged her to film with her so she would get followers/modeling gigs/ a fashion line. She probably encouraged the girls so they could be like Gigi [and] Bella [Hadid]. They seem close, I don’t think it came out right.”

“Rinna is such a disgusting disappointment to humanity,” a Twitter user added.

Amelia Gray Hamlin clears up statement

Later in the day, Gray Hamlin returned to Instagram and cleared up her statement from the day before.

“Like, would you wanna be on national television at 12?” she posted on her first story.

In a second post, she said, “I just literally said no to something I did not know anything about. My mom ENCOURAGED ME to do so. Obviously it’s been 6 years, I could have stopped filming long ago. Can you all just chill?”

Gray Hamlin knows that telling her story in front of the cameras could help other people in a similar situation come to terms with their struggles to seek help.

“I haven’t [stopped filming] cause I have a story to tell, to HELP people,” she added. “Now I’ve become super close to all the women and I love them.”
