Teddi Mellencamp from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is going through a rough time on social media. The Bravo star was the one that dropped the bombshell on the show about the alleged affair Denise Richards had with Brandi Glanville. Why is Teddi Mellencamp not a fan favorite?

On the day the ladies of RHOBH took off to Italy for their annual cast trip, Glanville stopped by Kyle Richards’s house. The former diamond-holder revealed that Denise Richards was saying mean things behind everyone’s back, including Mellencamp. Not only that, but Glanville also alleged to have hooked up with the Wild Things actress.

Mellencamp is an accountability coach and she couldn’t enjoy herself on the trip as this information from Glanville was weighing heavy on her. During dinner, Mellencamp confronted Denise asking her if she had said anything behind her back. The latter denied the accusations and claimed to have never said anything mean.

The pregnant housewife did not want to say what the other allegation was, but after receiving a push from the rest of the ladies she let it slip. In front of everyone, and cameras, Mellencamp told Denise that Glanville said she had hooked up with her.

Denise was taken aback and denied even talking to her, which on subsequent episodes she contradicts.

Although Mellencamp didn’t bring up the rumor on camera first, she did give it enough credibility to repeat it in front of the whole cast. This has made fans upset as they feel that Mellencamp acted in bad faith and wanted to embarrass Charlie Sheen’s ex.

Death wishes

RHOBH fans are passionate and get in the middle of the drama by giving their take on what they are seeing on TV. Sitting at home and watching the show fold out is easy to make comments about the ladies. Some viewers have taken it a little too far and have been leaving Mellencamp threatening messages, which have her worried.

“You don’t always have to agree with me. You don’t even have to like me but wishing someone would die is taking it to the next level,” Mellencamp posted on Instagram. “Please watch the show. Enjoy it. It’s entertainment and our lives can be crazy! Pick your faves and your villains, laugh, cry, relate etc but wishing death on another human is just wrong on so many levels. I hope those that follow me or those that just come on to troll can understand and respect that this needs to stop.”

Mellencamp took the extra step in disabling comments from one of her publications where the replies were getting out of hand.

“I have always loved doing Real Housewives, the good, the bad, and the ugly because I know it’s an escape for so many people watching,” Mellencamp said in the accompanying video. “I had so many comments on my last post saying they wish I was dead [and] wishing harmful things on my children.”

Mellencamp just wants fans to enjoy the show and reserve their death wishes because they’re out of line.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
