Teddi Mellencamp had a lot on her mind while filming season 10 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Along with dealing with all of the drama on the show, Mellencamp was on her third pregnancy with husband Edwin Arroyave. With the season premiere finally here, Mellencamp opened up about how she handled the drama with a baby on the way.

Teddi Mellencamp dishes on filming RHOBH while pregnant

Mellencamp welcomed her third child, a daughter she named Dove, with Arroyave back in February. The couple shares two other children, Slate (7) and Cruz (5), while he has an 11-year-old from a past romance.

Filming for the new season ramped up while Mellencamp was still pregnant, and in an interview with Us Magazine, the RHOBH star admitted that she felt more anxious during the past two seasons than she did in season 10.

“You have to just kind of work through it,” she stated. “This is the most, like real, the realest it’s ever felt. It hits home and there’s so many layers and there’s still so much we don’t know. And you know, I think that just when you’re able to fully work through things … then you hear other things.”

Although Teddi Mellencamp had a lot on her plate this season, she revealed that her pregnancy actually helped her cope with all the drama that unfolded in front of the cameras. Given how stressful it is being on a reality show, Mellencamp could probably use all the help she can get.

How did Mellencamp’s pregnancy help her deal with the drama?

With a baby on the way, Mellencamp explained how being pregnant forced her to move past the drama fairly quickly. At the end of the day, welcoming a baby put everything else in perspective and helped her realize how the drama was petty in comparison to having a child.

“Like if you’re even having drama at the end of the day, like, I think last year if I was having the drama that is happening sometimes this year I would have been a mess every single night,” she shared. “But at the end of the day I was like, ‘All right, I need to take a deep breath and go to bed and remember like, ‘OK, I’m growing a baby. I have to put this into perspective.”

Looking back Teddi Mellencamp added that she feels as though she “could probably do anything” after filming season 10 during her pregnancy. We do not know how things are going to shake out for Mellencamp this season, but it definitely sounds like she has her priorities in order.

Mellencamp joined RHOBH back in season 8. Although Mellencamp has managed to avoid any major drama, this season will see her teaming up with Kyle Richards, and there is one cast member who did not appreciate their friendship.

Dorit Kemsley bashes Mellencamp

In season 10 of RHOBH, fans will watch as Mellencamp and Richards develop an even closer bond. According to Reality Blurb, Dorit Kemsley recently opened up about the pair’s friendship this season and slammed Mellencamp and Richards for being so close.

In the interview, Kemsley bashed Mellencamp for constantly defending Richards, no matter what the situation is. She also admitted to openly making fun of the pair, a move that Richards did not enjoy.

“I definitely poke fun at it a lot this season. Kyle doesn’t like it too much but that’s what I see,” Kemsley explained.

That said, Dorit Kemsley added that Teddi Mellencamp and Richards “have a great friendship” and “an unbreakable bond,” which fans will no doubt witness in season 10.

While it is good to see Mellencamp making strong allies, the RHOBH star is currently preoccupied with raising her baby, with whom she recently celebrated her very first Easter holiday.

Over the weekend, Mellencamp shared an adorable photo of her daughter in celebration of Easter. The sweet pic featured Dove wearing a bunny-themed onesie complete with a pair of bunny ears.

Although the photo is about as adorable as it gets, Dove did not look happy about modeling the headpiece for her mom. With Dove looking less than pleased in her crib, Mellencamp joked, “A picture is worth a thousand words but I believe Dove only had two for me here.”

Mellencamp has been sharing loads of photos of her newborn on social media over the past few months. Last month, for instance, she captured the moment when Dove met her grandfather, John Mellencamp.

RHOBH fans have thoroughly enjoyed the baby updates, which will hopefully continue as the new season gets underway.

Fans can watch Teddi Mellencamp return to action when the new season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres April 15 on Bravo.
