Why is Teddi Mellencamp receiving hate?

Mellencamp is a chill person, as long as you are honest with her. As an accountability coach, she can tell when someone is not owning up to their word. In RHOBH Season 10, she dropped a bombshell on the ladies during the cast trip to Rome that has been controversial.

It all started when Brandi Glanville alleged that Denise Richards was bad-mouthing Mellencamp, along with other co-stars. Glanville also shared that she had an affair with Richards, which shocked everyone.

During the trip to Italy, Mellencamp didn’t feel comfortable around Richards as she knew she had talked behind her back. During one of the dinner scenes, Mellencamp finally confronted the Wild Things actress about what she was saying. Richards denied having said anything negative about anyone.

Although Mellencamp didn’t want to reveal the other saucy allegation, as she didn’t personally have an issue with, she dropped it after some of the ladies pushed her to do it.

Richards denied even being close to Glanville, which an episode later she contradicted.

Teddi Mellencamp reacts to backlash

Even though Mellencamp didn’t bring up the affair allegations between Glanville and Richards, fans of the latter are taking it all out on her. Things have gotten so bad for the accountability coach she was forced to release a statement about the death wishes people were sending her on social media.

“You don’t always have to agree with me. You don’t even have to like me but wishing someone would die is taking it to the next level,” Mellencamp posted on Instagram. “Please watch the show. Enjoy it. It’s entertainment and our lives can be crazy! Pick your faves and your villains, laugh, cry, relate, etc but wishing death on another human is just wrong on so many levels. I hope those that follow me or those that just come on to troll can understand and respect that this needs to stop.”

In the video she posted on the social network she said, “I have always loved doing Real Housewives, the good, the bad, and the ugly because I know it’s an escape for so many people watching. I had so many comments on my last post saying they wish I was dead [and] wishing harmful things on my children.”

Teddi Mellencamp shares nasty message

After Mellencamp posted the video, she shared one of the nasty messages on her Instagram Stories. In the Direct Message, the troll calls her a “mean girl” and says she deserves to die.

“Looks like Kenny is having a great Friday night,” Mellencamp shared. “When I am happy, I always message strangers saying I hope they die. Not! These type of messages are crossing the line.”

There’s no reason for a fan of the show to be so cruel and vile, despite what they see panning out on TV. It’s not right to wish people harm.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues to air Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
