Why is Vicki Gunvalson no longer on ‘RHOC’?

Gunvalson was the OG of all the housewives being the first major breakout of The Real Housewives franchise that started it all, RHOC. However, after 14 seasons on the show, Gunvalson announced she was leaving the reality series. Ahead of season 15, the insurance maven said she had made the decision to quit the franchise that made her famous.

“I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Gunvalson wrote on Instagram back in January 2020. “It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years and I want [to] thank all of you for your support, for your love and for ‘whooping it up’ with me along the way.”

The reality star was not going to be jobless after her run as a housewife as she also managed a successful insurance company. At the time of her exit, she was excited to start a new podcast, which has since ended, as well as other ventures in the works.

“I hope you will join me on my new journey, so please stay tuned,” she added. “I love all my fans, and I want to thank Bravo and Evolution for this incredible experience which my family and I have will never forget.”

How has Vicki Gunvalson coped without ‘RHOC’ in her life?

Gunvalson’s daughter Culberson was always a truth-teller on the show. She is the one that kept Gunvalson grounded and gave her perspective to the drama surrounding her life. Fans adore Culberson for always keeping it real and when she was asked about how her mother was dealing with her RHOC exit, she didn’t hold back.

“I think she’s still adjusting, I don’t think that’s what she really wants for her life,” Culberson said. “I think she misses it and she misses the whole process and everybody.”

Culberson analyzed the situation and although she likes that her mother has more time for her family without the show she feels “like she’s missing a piece of her.” Gunvalson was on TV for 15 years and being on a job for that long can certainly be a shock once it’s gone.

Meghan King is still blocked by Vicki Gunvalson

One particular phase that Culberson didn’t like to see on RHOC was when Meghan King came for Gunvalson. King was the one that exposed that Gunvalson’s partner, Brooks Ayers, was probably faking having cancer. Gunvalson alleges that she never knew that Ayers was lying to her, which he maintains was not a lie.

King recently said that Gunvalson was mean to her during that time and mentioned that the OG of the OC still has her blocked on Instagram.

“When I was on with Vicki, that was the season that her boyfriend at the time was faking cancer, and I totally thought she was involved with it. So I didn’t like her. And she was mean to me because I found it out,” King said on The Sarah Fraser Show.

For now, Gunvalson has been focused on her insurance business and remodeling a new home she bought in Orange County.
