Vicki Gunvalson is not on The Real Housewives of Orange County anymore but continues to find herself in the middle of drama. The former housewife was recently referenced by Brandi Glanville on her podcast. In an interview with Andy Cohen, Glanville said Gunvalson had called him an ageist. The insurance maven is now firing back and settings things straight.

What did Brandi Glanville say?

Glanville has a successful podcast and has special guest stars every week. In the episode that dropped on September 25, Cohen made an appearance to talk about The Real Housewives.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum brought up the notion that the older housewives were being taken out of the shows. Glanville cited Gunvalson and Tamra Judge as saying they were axed due to their age.

“I felt like [Vicki and Tamra] told their entire stories and they both said that [you are] an ageist. They said you were going against them because they got too old,” Glanville alleged on Unfiltered.

The Watch What Happens Live host denied having cut Judge and Gunvalson because of their age and cited another older housewife.

“Ramona [Singer] is older than Vicki. If you look at the women on our shows, there are a lot of women that are really thriving in their 50s and late 50s. Yeah, no. I don’t care for that [comment],” Cohen said.

Cohen explained that the reason they made cast changes on RHOC was to freshen up the show. Gunvalson had been with the show for 14 years, while Judge did 12 years.

“Vicki to this day makes me absolutely laugh,” he added. “We just felt that the show needed some new air. We needed to air it out and see where it went. These two women were so identifiable with it and will always be. I hope they will someday be back in some capacity.”

Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge strike back

Gunvalson, who announced her exit from RHOC early this year, denied referring to Cohen as an ageist.

“I’ve never talked to Brandi in my life,” Gunvalson told Reality Blurb. “So I don’t know where she got that from.”

The original comment from Glanville was possibly from a podcast Judge appeared in. On Behind the Velvet Rope, the fitness enthusiast shared that she had friends audition for the show and shared insight on the process.

“One thing they said to each one of my friends who were younger … they want to have younger housewives,” Judge said, according to Reality Blurb. “I thought, well that’s interesting and then it shows. The ones they’ve hired have all been younger. So, I do think there’s some truth to that.”

Judge also slammed Glanville for implying she made that allegation against her former boss.

“I DID NOT say Andy fired me due to my age,” Judge told Celeb Magazine in an interview she shared on Instagram. “That is just ridiculous since Shannon[Beador] is older than me and still employed.”

Judge also said that this was “just another one of Brandi’s ignorant attacks.” She went on to cite that on a previous podcast episode, Glanville made another false claim.
