Vicki Gunvalson from The Real Housewives of Orange County may not be the most famous member of her soon-to-be newly blended family. Gunvalson is engaged to former homicide detective, Steve Lodge whose brother is Roger Lodge, the host from the original show Blind Date.

Bravo recently rebooted the show, this time with comedian Nikki Glaser as the host, but that doesn’t mean Lodge is sitting on the sidelines. Apparently he was working on a “secret” project with Gunvalson in June, according to Bravo’s The Daily Dish. However, thus far Gunvalson hasn’t reported any specifics.

Meanwhile, Lodge appears to be busy hosting a sports radio show and shooting commercials. Gunvalson gushed about her future brother-in-law with Bravo’s The Daily Dish in April. “Well, Roger Lodge is a big name,” she said. “He’s very good friends with John Stamos and they were on Full House. So Roger was on that. He now has a radio show for the Anaheim Angels.”

Gunvalson shares how her future husband differs from his brother

As a talk show host and actor, Roger Lodge is very personable and tries to connect with others. Gunvalson shared her observations and made a comparison with her future husband.

“And [Roger is] just an outgoing guy,” she told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “Steve is definitely more reserved and more private and more quiet. He does not share his feelings with outside people. Him and I are good; he’s an upstanding man.”

Gunvalson has shared family moments with her future brother-in-law too. In 2018, she posted a photo of the Lodge brothers during Roger’s son’s wedding. “Steve and his brother Roger at Rogers son’s wedding,” she wrote in the Instagram caption.

Lodge is now calling the plays on AM830 in Los Angeles. He hosts The SportsLodge and is busy interviewing athletes and keeping sports fans engaged. Last month he shared an interview he did with Los Angeles Angels third basemen, Anthony Rendon. “Anthony Rendon checked into @theesportslodge for the very first time! It won’t be the last!!!” he posted to Instagram.

He also shot a commercial with hockey mascot Wild Wing from the Anaheim Ducks. Lodge sits on top of a Zamboni on the ice with Wild Wing and posted a fun video. “Working hard this morning with my man Wild Wing! Go @anaheimducks.”

But he also takes time to give a shout out to family members. He recently shot a birthday message to his brother and managed to get in a few digs. “Sincerest Birthday Wishes to my Dear, Sweet, MUCH older brother @stevelodge_oc I hope @vickigunvalson is throwing you a Fantastic Birthday Party, that I wasn’t invited to!!!” he joked in the comments. He added a video where he sings to his older brother Steve, adding they used to take baths together. Steve Lodge turned 70 years old in August 2019.

The Lodge family and Gunvalson celebrated Mother’s Day together too. “Today we Celebrated Mothers Day, my son @peyton_lodge1 Birthday and my Brother @stevelodge_oc engagement to @vickigunvalson …
It was a good day!” Lodge shared. Earlier in the year, Gunavlson hosted the Easter celebration at her home. “Thank You  @vickigunvalson  & @stevelodge_oc for having my crew for Easter! Awesome Day!”
