Brandi Redmond on ‘RHOD’

Former five-time Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Brandi Redmond joined the cast of Real Housewives of Dallas in the first season alongside LeeAnne Locken, Cary Deuber, Tiffany Hendra, and longtime friend, Stephanie Hollman.

The two experienced a bump in their friendship after the first season when Redmond felt like her friend made shady comments about her marriage in an interview. Therefore, the stay-at-home mom began hanging out with Locken.

However, once she and Hollman repaired their relationship, Redmond seemingly promptly cut Locken off, upsetting the charity-focused housewife. Redmond and Locken had several arguments following their fallout as the former NFL cheerleader believed the original housewife avoided responsibility by hiding behind her past.

In the fourth season, Redmond and housewife Kameron Westcott got into it at a dinner in Mexico when the mother-of-two called the NFL cheerleader “trashy” for a second time. The word is a sore spot for Redmond, who grew up in trailer homes.

Brandi Redmond under fire for resurfaced video mocking Asians

Locken’s friend and wedding planner, Steve Kemble, didn’t appreciate the other housewives calling the former pageant beauty a “racist” for her comments about Mexico-born housewife, Kary Brittingham.

Therefore, he posted a video of Redmond to his Twitter account of the former NFL cheerleader seemingly mocking Asians in front of her children. In the clip, the mother-of-three sat in a car impersonating an Asian, saying, “Oh, everybody ask me what Asian I am because my eyes, they squinty,” in a high-pitched accent with broken English.

Redmond quickly responded to the video and explained she made it nearly three years ago after D’Andra Simmons made fun of her “squinty” eyes. She then defensively replied to several people who called her out, insisting it was “a good impression if I do say so myself and there was no harm done. I would do it again for a damn good audition.”

The housewife continued to receive more backlash, causing her to check herself into a wellness center. She has since filmed an 11-minute apology video where she takes responsibility for her words as well as blames Kembel for maliciously keeping the clip to release a later date to hurt her image.

Brandi Redmond removes affiliation with ‘RHOD’ from Instagram bio

A few weeks after Season 4 wrapped, Locken announced she would not return for the following season. While she insists she made the “personal decision” to leave, many fans believe Bravo fired her due to her racially charged comments about Brittingham.

After Redmond’s resurfaced video, viewers also wanted her removed from the show. She has not released any statements announcing her departure, but the mother-of-three recently removed her affiliation with Bravo and Real Housewives of Dallas from her Instagram bio.
