With season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey on the way, here’s what we know about the history-making cast and everything else we know about the new season.

When does ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ season 12 premiere?

Bravo has, over the years, maintained the same routine when announcing its premiere dates. For the first seven seasons of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, the network released the show in summer or spring. However, the network switched things up from season eight until season 11, with the show’s release premiere dates shifting to fall.

This was due to coronavirus (COVID-19), which forced the network to push the date back to February. Several publications report that filming for the new season has begun. Even though Bravo has yet to announce a premiere date for the upcoming season, the season 11 reunion promised fans that there would be plenty of drama.

Fans tuned in for the reunion, which aired last month, and it didn’t disappoint. Season 11 was shorter because of the coronavirus, but viewers had their plates full while trying to keep up with the stars, including Teresa Giudice’s feud with Jackie Goldschneider.

Some of the storylines that took center stage in season 11 included the alleged cheating scandal involving Jackie’s husband, Evan. The feud began when Giudice revealed that she had heard a rumor that Evan was having an affair. This rumor led Jackie to give the other ladies an analogy which threw everything off the tracks.

Jackie, in an attempt to show how damaging baseless gossip can be, compared the rumors with Giudice’s daughter using cocaine at parties. Although Jackie insisted that the analogy was a fictitious example, it didn’t sit well with Giudice, who took issue with the former lawyer bringing the star’s children into the fight.

‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ season 12 cast

Bravo has been pretty mum about who will be returning for a new season and if viewers will see new faces. The network never reveals the cast member until about a month before the official premiere. However, fans can expect to see seasoned stars such as Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Jackie, Dolores Catania, and Margaret Josephs.

The site All About the Real Housewives reports that many members of the reality show cast weren’t happy with Bravo’s decision to bring back Jennifer Aydin. The site continues to stare that some of the cast members are surprised that Aydin was even asked to return since they aren’t friends with her.

Michelle Pais also announced that she would be returning for season 12. She had appeared as a friend throughout season 11. She told her fans that she “didn’t enjoy filming” and that there was “too much drama.”

Will there be another Housewife?

Fans on Reddit had speculated that Bravo would be adding another Housewife with various publications guessing that there would be a cast shakeup after the show’s casting producer posted cast calls for new members. It seemed as though the producers had found the perfect lady to join the RHONJ cast, Aiksha Holly.

Holly is the wife of Willie Colon, a former NFL football player. The rumors seemed legit, especially since two other Housewives Margaret and Melissa, started following Holly on Instagram. Additionally, Melissa’s husband, Joe Gorga, posted a photo of him and Holly’s husband Willie on Instagram.

However, reports state that they decided against it, meaning the cast will stay the same as it has been for four years. Had the producers cast Holly, she would have made history as the first Black woman on the RHONJ.
