Margaret Josephs joined the Real Housewives of New Jersey in 2017 and has provided endless entertainment for viewers. Part of the housewives’ appeal involves their extravagance, and Josephs has certainly gotten the memo. The RHONJ star is known for her over-the-top, never-ending house renovations with the help of her contractor husband. Josephs’ extensive portfolio of businesses includes several that have helped her amass an impressive $50 million fortune.

Long before Bravo fans knew her on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Josephs already had a successful business. Most of Josephs’ wealth comes from her Macbeth Collection clothing and accessories line, which the reality star established in 1999.

Per her website MargaretJosephs.com, the collection sells a wide range of goods, all branded with bright patterns and colors. The line includes beauty supplies, bags, luggage, home goods, and office accessories, which the Macbeth Collection ships worldwide. Many people have likened the brand to Nine West, Kate Spade, Guess, and Coach.

In a smart marketing move, Josephs subtly showcases the Macbeth Collection while filming RHONJ via her outfits and accessories. Before establishing her product line, the now-54-year-old was a successful dress designer.

Josephs has enjoyed tremendous success throughout her long career. However, in 2018, she experienced legal problems after a similar lifestyle brand, Vineyard Vines, sued her for copyright infringement. As WWD.com reports, Josephs was ordered to pay over $500,000 to the opposing company. Since then, Josephs has shifted her focus back to growing her brand among other things.

Josephs’ other businesses have grown her fortune

Josephs first appeared on RHONJ in 2017. Although the show was already established in its seventh season, she quickly found her place and became a beloved cast member. When not involved in the murky affairs in the RHONJ world, Josephs works on never-ending renovations to her home.

Outside of the Macbeth Collection, she has established Candie Couture and an additional clothing collection. All of her projects place her net worth at an impressive $50 million, reports The Sun, making her the wealthiest housewife on RHONJ.

The second wealthiest star on the show is Jennifer Ayden, whose $7 million net worth doesn’t even come close to Josephs’ fortune. Dolores Catania places third with a net worth of $4 million. Melissa Gorga comes fourth with $2 million, sharing the spot with Jackie Goldschneider, whose net worth is also $2 million. RHONJ mainstay Teresa Giudice rounds out the cast with a $500,000 net worth after several scandals and some jail time.

Josephs has a podcast, Caviar Dreams Tuna Fish Budget, which she hosts alongside her creative director Lexi Barbuto. The podcast episodes are roughly 40 minutes long, and the cohosts help their viewers achieve their dreams. The podcast releases new episodes twice every week on Wednesdays and Fridays.

On April 2021, Gallery Books released Josephs’ memoir, aptly titled Caviar Dreams, Tuna Fish Budget: How to Survive in Business and Life. It’s received nearly 700 ratings on Good Reads, with an even four-star rating out of five stars. Josephs wisely chronicled her whole publishing journey throughout season 11 of RHONJ, including her cover photoshoot and meetings with her co-author.
