Bethenny Frankel is best known for her controversial takes on The Real Housewives of New York City. The former Bravo star was able to use the fame she got on the reality show to promote her business ventures. Frankel is the founder of Skinnygirl, one of the most successful businesses launched on the franchise. After a Real Housewives tell-all book was released, Frankel is blasting it for having “women trashing women.” Frankel’s take is reportedly not making Andy Cohen happy.

Bethenny Frankel is not a fan of ‘The Real Housewives’ book

“Not All Diamonds and Rosé” is a book authored by Dave Quinn which promises “the inside story of the Real Housewives from the people who lived it.” Quinn interviewed all the characters that have been involved in all the franchises in front of the cameras and behind them too. Andy Cohen Books is the imprint for the book and they had all access to everything.

Interviewing all the different housewives in the show’s history brought up many things that were not known before, including shady comments. With the book making headlines, it was hard for anybody to ignore all the juicy gossip. Although she’s not a housewife anymore, former RHONY star Frankel got into the mix of things to weigh in about her thoughts on the book.

“I think we need more stories about women trashing women…Or….we can publish a book about it? Is that a good idea?” Frankel tweeted with a sarcastic tone. “PS. I’ve had my regrettable moments but capitalizing on our weaknesses? That’s ‘rich’….literally #WomenSupportingWomen lol.”

In a second tweet, Frankel said that she was “approached” about getting interviewed for the book but she instead took “a hard left.”

“It just keeps coming up. Yay for them but every day from me to Carole to Kelly to Teresa to Danielle to heather to Sonja etc. Nobody gets out without paying the bill…,” she added.

Andy Cohen is reportedly upset at Bethenny Frankel

Furthermore, Frankel rattled the Bravo world with her comments. A new report suggests that Cohen, who has money on the book published by his imprint, is not happy with Frankel.

“Andy has had it with her,” a source told Radar Online. “Everything that she has done without him, including her podcast has failed. Her talk show was a disaster, her apprentice show bombed and now she needs to use The Housewives to get anyone to listen to her boring podcast. The irony is that the only thing Bethenny is successful at is trashing other people.”

The insider claims that Frankel is allegedly upset at Cohen after she reached out to him. Frankel was involved in controversy following remarks on her podcast that were deemed transphobic by some. The former RHONY star reportedly hit Cohen up for advice but the latter “did not respond to the requests.”

Bethenny Frankel had slammed ‘The Real Housewives’ before

In addition, it was not the first time Frankel called out The Real Housewives franchise. Following her second exit from RHONY, Frankel said that the ratings decline of the franchise was due to not inspiring viewers anymore.

“The ratings overall in television have never been higher and perhaps the ratings on Real Housewives aren’t doing well because it’s sort of not maybe the content that is inspiring people to do what they need to do right now,” Frankel told Extra in April 2020. “Or maybe they want to watch the news or something uplifting or some way to pay it forward.”

Frankel currently hosts the Just B podcast.
