Bethenny Frankel rose to fame thanks to her appearance on The Real Housewives of New York City. The reality TV personality was one of the OG cast members of the spinoff series when it started back in 2008. Frankel recently called it quits after wrapping up season 11 of the Bravo series to pursue other passion projects. With the premier her new show on HBO Max pending, would Frankel consider returning to the RHONY?

Why did Bethenny Frankel quit ‘RHONY?’

Frankel was an original cast member of RHONY and starred on the show for the first three seasons. Due to her rising star, Bravo created a spinoff around her pending nuptials and her growing business. The entrepreneur was approached to have her own talk show, which only lasted for one season.

After venturing out for a couple of years, Frankel returned to the Bravo reality series in season 7. She once again held an apple for an additional 5 seasons before leaving again following season 11.

“I have decided to leave the Housewives franchise to explore my next chapter,” Frankel told Variety in August 2019. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy, and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have.”’

Frankel left the show for the second time in her TV career after she signed a deal with Mark Burnett productions to develop her own shows. The popular star recently revealed on social media she had just finished production of the first season of The Big Shot. A premiere date has not been set but it will air sometime later this year on the HBO Max streaming platform.

Would Bethenny Frankel ever return to ‘RHONY’ after quitting?

With more control over how she’s portrayed on TV, Frankel has the dream job of anything reality TV personality. Being an executive producer of her own show is a big accomplishment. However, once in a while Frankel weighs in on what her co-stars are doing over on RHONY. As the trailer of season 13 of the reality series was just released, Frankel was asked about her thoughts on the show.

“I’m sure it’s great and I’m sure it’s gonna be a thrill a minute,” Frankel told Extra during an interview.

For fans wishing she would be back, there’s bad news for all of the Frankel-stans.

“I don’t really believe in going backwards, I don’t want to go back on Housewives. It’s not where I am right now,” she revealed. “I respect that I came from there… I’m moving forward. I’m launching my own show on HBO MAX, The Big Shot with Bethenny, and my podcast Just B with Bethenny has a big announcement coming this week.”

The Big Shot doesn’t have a premiere date yet but The Real Housewives of New York City Season 13 is set to premiere on May 4 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
