Would Bethenny Frankel hold an apple again?

There’s no denying that Frankel is one of the most iconic stars of all The Real Housewives franchises. The RHONY alum announced she was quitting the series ahead of filming for season 12, leaving all of her co-stars shocked. When Frankel made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the host did not waste time in getting some tea for The Real Housewives fans.

“Umm, without being disrespectful to where I came from,” Frankel replied. “I’m in a different place now, and I think that the opportunities that I’m getting and some of the interviews, for example, might not have happened if I was still on that show.”

“I left a big financial paycheck there but I knew that something amazing was going to happen and that the journey was just going to take me in a great place,” she continued. “And so I believe in the path, and this is where I am. I’ve been so focused on the things that I’m doing whether it’s relief work or my daughter or the podcast that I’m excited about what’s happening now.”

However, months ago, Frankel also talked about a possible return to RHONY and during that interview, she left things open. The reality TV personality was reacting to fans constantly asking her to come back to the franchise.

“There have been a lot of questions about that and a lot of rumbling,” she told Fortune. “I’m humbled by the threads and the comments. I honestly am stunned, I haven’t been watching. I saw the first episode and part of another one, so I don’t know what’s going on there.”

Frankel is really active on social media and often interacts with her followers on Twitter. She says that she’s been reading comments and what people are saying about her returning to the Real Housewives.

“There’s a lot of talk about what’s going on there, and I read comments that people say to me, ‘Please come back,’ and ‘Please save the show,’” she continued. “It’s all flattering, and I wish the girls well. I’m doing other things though, and I just don’t know how that really would fit into my life as is.”

Bethenny Frankel reacts to new season of ‘RHONY’

When RHONY Season 12 premiered, Frankel was sure to be looking out for fan reactions. The first episode did have a mention of Frankel’s departure and some of the ladies were actually thrilled she had left. She felt they had given her the “proverbial middle finger.”

“The beginning of the show was the proverbial middle finger to me,” she said in an interview with Extra. “The women have definitely had some unpleasant things to say about me… I wish them well.”

In addition, Frankel was not so kind when referring to the show that opened the doors for her ventures now. She practically said that the format was dying as people were interested in other types of shows now.

“The ratings overall in television have never been higher and perhaps the ratings on Real Housewives aren’t doing well because it’s sort of not maybe the content that is inspiring people to do what they need to do right now,” Frankel added. “Or maybe they want to watch the news or something uplifting or some way to pay it forward.”

A new season of The Real Housewives of New York City is already filming in the Big Apple and will begin airing in the first quarter of 2021.
