During the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, Leah McSweeney took Ramona Singer to task about her assertion that she donated plasma after she had Covid-19.

Singer and her daughter Avery apparently tested positive for antibodies and said they donated their plasma to help others. “We both found out we have the antibodies, so we donated our plasma,” Singer told People in July 2020. And while Singer declared she donated her plasma, McSweeney called “B.S.” and confronted Singer during a girls’ trip to the Hamptons.

Did she or didn’t she (donate her plasma)?

McSweeney was a vocal critic of how Singer flaunted her privilege during the pandemic. But McSweeney also pointed out Singer’s complete disregard of health advisories because she was spotted partying in Florida.

The conversation started during a toast to front-line workers. McSweeney remarked how it was wild to be living through a global pandemic, which is when the conversation turned to which cast member already had Covid. Singer said she didn’t know she had Covid until later, which is when she discussed how she was tested for the antibodies.

“Then you donated the blood plasma,” McSweeney said to Singer. But Sonja Morgan interrupted, “Oh no she did not. It wasn’t on Instagram.”

Singer nodded her head, but McSweeney questioned her. “Did you really though?”

“They took something when I went to the center,” Singer asserted. “Because I have very strong antibodies.” But McSweeney wasn’t buying it, telling Singer it is more than just a blood draw.

Did the ‘RHONY’ cast bust Ramona Singer in a lie?

“You have to do it over and over again,” McSweeney described. “It’s a whole process.” Singer acted like she had no idea what McSweeney was talking about wondering if the medical team couldn’t use her blood.

However, McSweeney thinks she may have caught Singer in a lie because Singer gave a statement to the press that she and her daughter donated their plasma. “So did you or did you not?” McSweeney said. “That’s a very big thing.”

But Singer kept telling McSweeney they did donate because “we went there.” McSweeney isn’t accepting Singer’s response and tells her again it is a far more complex encounter. McSweeney asks Singer again if she donated her blood plasma and Singer just says she got tested. Finally, McSweeney just tells Singer to admit she was lying, and then they can move on. But Singer is not budging.

At this point, the other cast members are starting to realize that perhaps Singer was caught in a lie. And that she was too embarrassed to admit it. Singer finally walks away from the table, saying she needed to use the bathroom. “Ramona is so obviously lying,” Luann de Lesseps said in a confessional. “Her face is red. And she’s dodging the question.” Is the conflict resolved about if she did or did not donate her plasma? Not really.

The Real Housewives of New York City is on Tuesday at 9/8c on Bravo.
