Elyse Slaine from The Real Housewives of New York City said Ramona Singer would “beg to trade” Leah McSweeney for Bethenny Frankel and an upcoming clip shows just why.

McSweeney isn’t backing down from her position during a confrontation with Singer. McSweeney previously melted down after having several cocktails when Singer told her that her sister couldn’t join them on a girls’ trip.

Previews later show the women at dinner during the same trip and McSweeney aggressively throws a ravioli at Singer. “I just threw a ravioli at her and I don’t care,” McSweeney says as she struts out of the restaurant.

Singer likely thought the weekend meltdowns would end and McSweeney would get in line. However, Singer sees that not only isn’t McSweeney refusing to back down, but Dorinda Medley also has her back. Medley makes an excellent point about drunken meltdowns that have plagued the group.

McSweeney apologizes but then refuses to kiss the ring

The women have lunch and McSweeney takes the opportunity to apologize for lashing out at Singer. “I really didn’t want it to get to that point obviously,” McSweeney says in a preview clip.

Singer said McSweeney disrupted the weekend. “But you know what, you’re sorry for it and that’s OK,” Singer says shrugging. McSweeney isn’t going to allow Singer to leave it there. “No, I’m open to hearing exactly …”

“I just walked away from that weekend very emotionally upset,” Singer said. McSweeney says she feels the same way. But Singer continues, “All I’d like from you, if you’re willing to, is say you know what let’s put it behind us. I love the invitations and reset. I’m sorry for being a certain way.”

But McSweeney says, “I’m not apologizing for who I am. I’m apologizing for what I did.” Singer says she’s scared if that is McSweeney’s normal behavior. Singer dramatically insists she couldn’t sleep for four days. “I was exhausted from that weekend,” she exclaims.

Dorinda Medley points out that everyone on the cast has had their drunken outbursts

Medley feels that she needs to remind the group that they’ve all had their drunken outburst moment. “Listen we have all our moments, Ramona,” Medley reminds her. Cue the hilarious memory roll that includes Medley’s moment but also Luann de Lesseps’ arrest.

“You’re not living in Downton Abbey now, I’m mean let’s not get carried away,” Medley tells Singer. “You’re not giving her a bone here!” Medley adds in a confessional that Singer needs to give McSweeney a break because she’s apologizing.

Elyse Slaine thinks McSweeney is giving Singer a run for her money

Slaine said on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast Singer would love to trade McSweeney for Frankel. “I know that Ramona had real problems with Bethenny,” she said. “Because I think she thought Bethenny had no boundaries. And would say and do anything.”

“And now I think Ramona would beg to trade Leah for Bethenny to come back,” she added. Slaine thought if alum Jill Zarin returned, Singer would try to form an alliance with Zarin against McSweeney. Viewers likely recall that Zarin and Singer weren’t exactly on the best terms.

“I think you would actually see a Ramona [and] Jill alliance,” she said. “I think these two women, who have been very outspoken, in a negative way about one another in the press … it would be like Game of Thrones. Where the different kings and kingdoms just had to come together to defeat the White Walker. Leah’s that White Walker. And I think that Ramona and Jill would team up to try to defeat Leah.”

The Real Housewives of New York City is on Thursday at 9/8c on Bravo.
