‘RHONY’: The Ramona Singer Remark About Eboni K. Williams That Triggered Investigation Is Finally Revealed, Report

Ramona Singer is finally getting exposed after a new report reveals what the 'RHONY' star allegedly said about her co-star Eboni K. Williams. Following the comment, an investigation was opened after a complaint from Williams.

Ramona Singer is one of the OG stars of The Real Housewives of New York City who is at the center of controversy. The entrepreneur had a rocky relationship with Eboni K. Williams during season 13 of the reality series. Williams was hired as the first Black housewife of this franchise and Singer wasn’t always keen to talk about politics with the Fox News commentator. Now, a new report is shedding light on the alleged remark that Singer made about Williams that triggered an investigation and the cancelation of the reunion.

What did Ramona Singer say about Eboni K. Williams?

Williams joined RHONY Season 13 and her casting was monumental because it was the first time a Black woman would be holding an apple with the iconic cast. Being that her entrance as a housewife was a big moment, Williams tried to have the rest of the ladies connect with her at a deep level. The political commentator didn’t want her connection with the cast to be superficial and wanted them to get to know her heritage.

When the show was shooting season 13 it was an election year and things got a little heated when Williams tried to talk politics, much to Singer’s refusal. The latter didn’t want to make the show about politics and wanted to showcase the fun side of everyone. A new report posted by Page Six is now revealing that Singer allegedly made a remark that was possibly racist. This action triggered an international investigation to find out what really happened.

“This is why we shouldn’t have black people on the show,” Singer allegedly said.

Singer’s reported comment came after the heated argument between Williams, Singer, and Luann de Lesseps where the latter told Williams to leave her home.

What was the outcome of the ‘RHONY’ investigation?

After a complaint was filed about Singer’s alleged remark, an internal investigation was launched. Another source told Page Six that the cable network had a third-party investigate the incident and Singer was “ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing.”

The RHONY star has denied ever saying the remark saying in a statement to the publication, “I never said that. It’s a terrible lie. It’s very disappointing that even after my name was cleared that people still want to slander me.”

At the same time the investigation was taking place, it was time to film the RHONY Season 13 reunion. The special had been postponed but it was ultimately scrapped. A previous report stated that Williams was unhappy with the conclusion the investigators had.

“Eboni was dissatisfied with the results and felt it was unfortunate, but there’s nothing she can do further,” the source told Us Weekly. “She was, however, satisfied with the thorough investigation since she’s been placed in that position through her law work in the past and knows what goes into investigating alleged claims.”

Was Eboni K. Williams the culprit of the ratings decline?

Season 13 of RHONY experienced a severe drop in the ratings and many pointed the finger at Williams. Some critics unfairly said that Williams took the fun out of the show and made it political. However, the attorney fought back the claims and refused to have that narrative around her.

“From my experience in television, any expectation to carry ratings around a program will go to the veteran talent,” she said in an interview with Insider. “So I think it’s nonsense to correlate the ratings performance of a 13-year series to a freshman talent. I just don’t buy it.”

The future of RHONY is uncertain and Bravo has not confirmed when would a potential season 14 start filming.
