Tinsley Mortimer left The Real Housewives of New York City during the middle of production of season 12. The socialite had been with the show since season 9 but quit mid-way to pursue her love life. With the show wrapping up, the ladies are set to film their reunion episode which is slated to be in-person. The question is: Will Mortimer show up?

‘RHONY’ Season 12 reunion is in-person

The pandemic forced Bravo to shift the way they film reunions of their Housewives franchises. It was the Atlanta-based show that first went all virtual in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak. The show was already set to film in-person a week before the country shut down. Since then other shows like Vanderpump Rules and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, did virtual reunions.

However, with the Big Apple easing restrictions, the cable network is planning on going back in-person reunions. This means that the RHONY cast will be physically there to talk about their drama throughout season 12.

“The reality-show cast will be shooting an in-person reunion on Aug. 5 on Long Island,” Page Six reported.

According to the report, production is taking all the precautions necessary to keep the cast and crew safe during the filming of the special.

Is Tinsley Mortimer going to go?

Mortimer made headlines earlier this year when she quit RHONY as she moved to Chicago to be with her fiancé, Scott Kluth. The socialite was not going to let distance break her relationship up for a second time. Mortimer made a bold move and left the show and now it’s been confirmed she will be returning for the reunion.

“She flew in last week for it to comply with [Gov.] Cuomo’s quarantine rules, and has been working on styling her perfect outfit,” an insider told Page Six.

During her short time filming season 12, Mortimer had several difficult encounters with Dorinda Medley. The latter was extremely harsh on Mortimer throughout their interactions. However, Mortimer got the last laugh when she exited the series to pursue her happiness.

One ‘Housewives’ star won’t be at the reunion

Elyse Slaine had been featured since the beginning of season 12 and took more relevance after Mortimer left. The aforementioned came in as a friend of Ramona Singer with their 12+ year ties. However, the two had a falling out and have been at odds ever since. Although fans have taken a liking to Slaine and wanted her to appear at the reunion, she confirmed she was not going.

“I won’t be at the reunion,” Slaine recently posted on Twitter.

It would have been interesting if Slaine was at the reunion as her drama with Singer has been featured on the show. Slaine is not entirely sure why Singer socially distanced herself but hinted at the issue in a recent interview.

“I guess she had second thoughts about having me on the show but I never understood what the issue was because I felt like I consistently had her back on the show, so I don’t know why she started having second thoughts about it,” Slaine told Heavy.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
