Political commentator and newest The Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo married lawyer Eddie Osefo 10 years ago. During filming for season 6, a source claimed he stepped out on his wife with a coworker and fathered a baby with her. Wendy and Eddie Osefo joined ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ in season 5

Johns Hopkins School of Education assistant professor and political commentator Dr. Wendy Osefo debuted on The Real Housewives of Potomac during Candiace Dillard’s anniversary party that kicked off the fifth season.

Married to Eddie, a lawyer, the couple have enjoyed a decade-long union and have welcomed three children into the world. The Nigerian-born Housewife started on the wrong foot with Ashley Darby when the new mother brought her baby to their girls’ trip.

Osefo, who recently had a daughter who spent time in the NICU, felt slighted, but the ladies made up. She later bumped heads with Karen Huger and sided with most of the cast, who refused to film with Monique Samuels following a physical altercation with Dillard.

The assistant professor also opened up about how much her mother accepting her choice to pursue a political commentator meant to her. However, Eddie’s family doesn’t have a good relationship with his family.

His family is estranged

During the Oct. 18, 2020 episode, Osefo explained his side didn’t attend their 2011 wedding and have yet to meet their children due to an argument between their mothers.

According to the newest housewife, her mom and his mom got into a massive disagreement that resulted in his family withdrawing. Even though they had a strained relationship, Eddie still wanted his siblings and parents to meet his children.

Therefore, he invited them to their youngest’s sip-and-see. However, his messages went unanswered, and they didn’t show up. Shortly before the episode aired, an alleged anonymous relative of Eddie’s spoke to All About the Tea and claimed their family turned their back on him because the newest housewife comes from a “cursed bloodline.”

Osefo has since denied the rumors, insisting her mother isn’t a part of a “cursed” tribe, and noted she underwent a “customary background search” to identify such bloodline.

Eddie seemingly responds to rumors he fathered another child

In a May 2020 article, All About the Tea claimed a source informed the blog the upcoming season would feature the couple’s supposed marital problems as he allegedly fathered a child with a coworker.

It also said other cast members are aware of the alleged affair and said one husband warned him during the season reunion. Additionally, the exclusive noted Eddie’s family still refuses to appear on the show so that viewers won’t hear their side this season.

Shortly after the article’s publication, Eddie hinted at the rumors in a limited-comments Mother’s Day Instagram post with pictures of his family. The lawyer celebrated his “beautiful wife” in his caption and thanked her for “blessing” him with their children.

He continued, “the haters will always hate (misery loves company), but one thing is for certain, men lie, women lie, blogs lie, but numbers don’t! 10 years and counting with our forever love.” The Real Housewives of Potomac will return with season six.
