‘RHOSLC’ stars Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose sit down over gin

Tensions have been high between Lisa and Whitney since Angie Harrington’s casino night event. This is unfortunate for Lisa’s husband John, who enjoys spending time with Whitney’s husband Justin. “I like hanging out with Justin, so I’m hoping for the best,” John Barlow tells producers in the episode.

“John does more than just put up with me — he gives me great advice too,” Lisa tells cameras later in the episode. She and Whitney Rose meet up to talk about the events of the casino night.

“If there’s a chance of reaching out to Whitney and finding some middle ground with her, I’m open to it,” Lisa adds, pointing out: “You can’t spell new beginnings without G-I-N.” She and Whitney meet at a distillery in Park City, Utah.

“My perspective is that we’re not friends,” Whitney tells Lisa. “I think we just tolerate each other.” Lisa admits she doesn’t have a problem with Whitney and that everything that has been “said and done” up until this point has been a misunderstanding. Eventually, the two bond about their zodiac signs (Lisa is a Sagittarius, Whitney is a Libra) and agree to move on as friends.

It’s unclear if their resolve lasts, though. In a teaser for next week’s episode, Whitney says she “walked into a trap” set up by Lisa. As “Gin and Bear It” was airing, Whitney tweeted: “Wake the f*** up Whit you are being manipulated with GIN and PIE!”

Mary Cosby’s conversation being compared to ‘RHOBH’ star Erika Jayne

During “Gin and Bear It,” Whitney’s two children, Brooks and Bobbie, are home when Mary stops over with freshly baked cookies. They’re part of a unique conversation many fans are likening to a story Erika Jayne shared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “One of the members in our church, their daughter had a crash last night,” Mary tells Whitney and Bobbi. “She was ejected from the sunroof and fell down into a neighborhood — [it was a] 30-feet-drop off of the freeway.”

“Is she still alive?” Bobbi asks. “No,” Mary replies, adding: “I’m excited to be here. Wear your seatbelt.”

Real Housewives fans have heard Erika share more than one car accident story this season on Beverly Hills. “I got a call at three in the morning, but I didn’t get it until six, from Pasadena Police Department that Tom’s [Girardi] home had been broken into,” Erika tells Kyle Richards. “He confronted the burglar and then he had to go to the hospital and then have some sort of surgery, I don’t really even know.”

“He has glaucoma and I think pressure and the anxiety and whatever,” Erika says of the surgery. “I’m not sure, I haven’t spoken… Well then my son went [to his house] because I can’t go, and then on his way home, it was snowing and he rolled his car.”

Erika’s story raised red flags with authorities amidst her estranged husband’s embezzlement investigation. Mary’s story aligns with an accident report from February 2021, wherein Maikel A. Enoch was killed.

Jen Shah and Brooks Marks hash things out on ‘RHOSLC’

In “Gin and Bear It,” Brooks and Meredith Marks join Jen for lunch. “This is the day I’ve been waiting for,” Jen tells cameras. “Brooks has finally fit me into his schedule to meet. I hope that he listens to me and doesn’t pull a Meredith Marks and [turn this] into a 10-month apology tour.”

Jen tells Brooks a team runs her social media accounts and is responsible for “liking” the tweets that offended him. “By perception, it looks like it was you on social media,” Brooks tells her. “I don’t even know how to articulate the pain I went through because of everything.”

Brooks’ biggest concern was having his voice taken away from him regarding his sexuality. Jen admits she was deflecting any time she mentioned Brooks having “not seeing a vagina” on social media.

“At the end of all of this, all I want is peace for my child,” Meredith tells cameras. Brooks and Jen make up, and Meredith later joins the table.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Sundays at 9PM EST.
