Why Elvis Presley Gave Away an Estimated 200 Cadillacs Before His Tragic Death

Keough’s role on Mad Max: Fury Road accidentally paid tribute to her iconic grandfather. Presley made a significant impact in music, which led to an immense fortune. His extensive wealth meant that he could purchase a fleet of cars whose price tag could make one’s jaw drop.

Presley was famous for gifting expensive cars to his friends and families if he saw it fit and Cadillacs were his go-to vehicles. TV host Johnny Carson once joked about Presley’s penchant for giving cars even to people who couldn’t drive.

Rumor has it that the legendary singer gave up to 200 Cadillacs in his days, but those near him claim the number was exaggerated. Presley did, however, buy 14 1959 Cadillacs as giveaway cars for charitable causes, although he didn’t own the 1959 model since he was stationed in West Germany serving in the U.S Army.

Keough’s role in Mad Max paid tribute to Presley as her husband in the movie, Immortan Joe had a Gigahorse that comprised of two 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Villes. Mad Max is the only film where Keough is seen in a vehicle with a significant connection to her grandfather and his love for Cadillac.
