Rob Kardashian wants to get back to his old self. After experiencing weight gain and health issues in the 2010s, the Arthur George designer has reportedly vowed to turn things around and make some serious lifestyle changes.

So far, he’s seen some success, dropping several pounds back in 2019. But reports say he’s still not where he wants to be. To shed the rest of his weight, Kardashian is allegedly considering taking one pretty significant step.

Rob Kardashian’s battle with weight gain

When Kardashian burst onto the scene in 2007 on his family’s reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, he had a slimmer, more muscular figure. He started to gain weight following his 2012 split from Rita Ora (who denies that they were ever official).

Amid the breakup, Kardashian reportedly found comfort in food. As his weight swelled, he sunk into a depression and eventually quit the show.

Kardashian retreated into seclusion, keeping a low profile at his home in Calabasas, California. He even skipped Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 2014 wedding due to his insecurities.

To his credit, he did try to get his health back on track and even had some successes. In 2016, TMZ reported that Kardashian had lost a whopping 40 pounds, thanks to his then-girlfriend, Blac Chyna — with whom he shares a daughter, Dream. But he could not stay on track and reportedly gained his weight back.

Rob Kardashian emerges and shows off incredible weight loss

In June 2019, Kardashian tweeted a photo at the gym, noting that it was the first day of his health journey. He went fairly quiet after that, but Khloé Kardashian told Entertainment Tonight the same month that her baby brother had been “kicking a**” in the gym; She meant it.

On Oct. 21, 2019, the reality star made an appearance at Kim’s birthday dinner with a noticeably smaller figure.

A source told Life & Style on Oct. 24, 2019 that Kardashian had also hired a trainer who had been whipping him into shape.

“But he’ll be the first one to tell you that he doesn’t always commit,” the source added. “He still struggles, but food is where he’s been making some great strides. He still loves In-N-Out Double-Double burgers and fries, but he’s really cut back. He’s all about salads and fruits, fish and chicken, walking on the treadmill.”

The 1 thing Rob Kardashian is considering to slim down

A source told E! News on Jan. 7 that Kardashian is considering moving into a live-in weight-loss facility. That way, he can really focus on continuing his journey without any distractions or influences.

“Rob is considering going away to a live-in facility where he can be 100 percent focused on losing weight. His family has encouraged him and he feels like it might be just what he needs,” the insider explained to E! News. “He really wants 2020 to be his best year and to finally get healthy.”

“His biggest motivator is Dream and he wants to do it for her,” the source added. “He needs an extra push and this could be the way to do it. At home, there are distractions and it’s easy to fall off course with his eating and working out. He feels like at a live-in facility, he could get the big jump start that he needs.”

A source also told People: “Everyone else in the family is working out and thinking about what they eat. He wants this year to be the year when he takes care of himself.”

In the past, Kardashian had allegedly shunned help. So, this is quite the development. We hope it works out for him.
