Rudi Gutierrez Reveals She Isn’t Dating Matt Ranaudo After ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’
Bachelor Nation viewers fell for Rudi Gutierrez and Matt Ranaudo’s onstage chemistry during Listen to Your Heart. The couple rose to the occasion during every performance and solidified their place as fan-favorites when they sang Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow.” Then in a turn of events, Matt and Rudi chose to self-eliminate when their spark couldn’t be translated into real life. Even so, the couple teased there was more “Mudi” content after the grand finale. But recently, Rudi revealed she isn’t dating Matt right now.

Rudi and Matt connected throughout the first few episodes of The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart. But the couple’s presence onstage always seemed to overshadow the overall relationship.
In the finale, Rudi and Matt went on an overnight date together as the cast drove to Nashville. However, they didn’t come out the other end stronger. Rather, it was clear Rudi had feelings for her partner. But Matt wasn’t ready for a commitment. So the music artists decided to go their separate ways and leave the show. Fans never saw Rudi and Matt’s final performance
What happened to Rudi Gutierrez and Matt Ranaudo after ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’?
Following the Listen to Your Heart finale, Rudi and Matt seemed to be on good terms. In an Instagram post published on May 18, Matt indicated he was working with Rudi on new “Mudi” music.
“I’m so deeply sorry if I let you guys down but I promise it will be made up to you! Much more Mudi music to come,” Matt wrote at the time.
The Bachelor Nation alums also continued to speak highly of one another. And when speaking with Access, Rudi stated she “could not have done” Listen to Your Heart without Matt by her side.
Meanwhile, in an interview with The Bachelorette stars Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Rudi revealed she still talked to her co-star “every day.” Fans also saw the two musicians interacting on social media, hopping on Instagram Live together from time to time.

Despite their comments after The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, it seems Rudi and Matt will not be making music together anytime soon. In an Instagram post from June 15, Rudi confirmed she isn’t dating Matt. The “Hate LA” singer also shared she wants to move on from “Mudi.”
“Since i get asked about ‘mudi’ 10X a day. let me finally clear the air…me and matt are not together,” Rudi wrote on Instagram. “I have chosen to just try and move on from all things “mudi”. feelings don’t go away over night and as much as i would love to do music with him i can’t keep torturing myself and putting myself through that.”
She continued, “I also can’t sit around and wait for forever. im sorry if ive let anyone down but i need to do what’s best for me and my heart.”
Matt and Rudi may not be dating after their run on The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart. But hopefully, the two music artists are able to move forward from here — and maybe release a few new tunes on the way.
