This competition is getting heated already. This episode marks the first improv challenge and the first official elimination of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12. Orange you glad you watch this reality show? Here’s what you might’ve missed from episode 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12.

This article contains spoilers from the third episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12. Read at your own risk, squirrel friends!

All of the season 12 queens are together in the Werk Room

After a successful second premiere, this group of queens walks into the Werk Room to find their competition. Some know each other from working in New York, like Jan, who screams, “five New York guurrlz!” Others notice some tension right away.

After kiking at the table for a while, they get a message from Ru. For the first mini-challenge, the winners from each week have to rank the other group’s queens from best to worst. First up is Widow, who puts Aiden Zhane in the bottom. But she’s not pressed, she says. Jaida puts Heidi in the bottom. Oh, she’s pressed.

Now, Widow, Jaida, Heidi, and Aiden are in charge of picking their teams for an improv challenge, called “World’s Worst,” a spoof of America’s Got Talent. Rock M. Sakura is picked last, so she can join whatever team she wants. She chooses Jaida’s.

The queens prepare for the Main Challenge

Each team is in the Werk Room getting ready and when it’s time for Jaida’s group to talk with Ru, Rock says she joined this group because they’ve been a big help to her so far, emotionally. After reflecting, Rock actually feels insecure with her small role, as an Orange. She asks Jaida to switch and Jaida straight up says no. Oh well.

It’s finally time for World’s Worst and the first up is the Del Rio Trio, comprised of three elderly women — Gigi, Jackie, and Heidi. Before they even get to the audition, Gigi’s character Blanca dies. It’s up to the other two Del Rio sisters to put on a great show, or rather, a terrible show and eventually get their ticket from Ross Matthews to go to West Hollywood.

Just then, Blanca wakes up and the other two Del Rio sisters die. Gigi drags them back out of the audition room, as Ross and special guest Charo, prepare for the next audition group.

Orange you glad you don’t watch ‘World’s Worst?’

The next group is the Squirrel Scouts, comprised of Crystal, Widow, and Nicky. Their business pitch of their “Nut Butter” product doesn’t exactly go smoothly, (pun intended.) Crystal stumbled on a few lines, while Nicky shared in her confessional the challenges of being funny in a second language.

The third group is the Fruity Patooties, an LGBTQ group with Rock, Jaida, Dahlia, and Jan. Rock and Jan are killing it, explaining their group to the judges when in comes the Bad Apple (portrayed by Jaida,) who’s ready to expose them for who they really are — straight! (Gasp!) There’s a fruit fight and even though Dahlia is dressed as a “brocc-ally,” she doesn’t exactly stand out.

Three Girls One Brain is the final group, featuring Aiden and Brita. For their pitch, all three contestants speak at the same time and even when Ross tests them by slapping one of them, they all “feel” it. He’s impressed, he shares, but just then, one of the contestants walks away without speaking at the same time. Then, it’s just Two Girs One Brain. Perfect for World’s Worst!

Bring buttons and bows to the runway

Back in the Werk Room, Rock still isn’t feeling confident and shares that she should’ve pushed harder to be the Bad Apple. Still, they’re all getting ready for the runway, which is “Bows and Buttons” themed.

After the runway, the top 2 contestants are Jackie and Sherry Pie, with Sherry Pie winning. Even though Crystal Methyd got some harsh critiques about her makeup, the bottom two, are Dahlia Sin and Nicky Doll.

After lip-syncing to Ariana Grande’s “Problem,” Nicky Doll is the winner and Dahlia sashays away. She doesn’t even say goodbye to the girls, though, she just kind of storms off. She does leave a message on the mirror though: “Keep Ur Heads UP I [love] U ALL! -Dahlia”

12 queens remain.
