All hail the queens! Fans are one week closer to finding out who will be crowned “UK’s Next Drag Superstar.” Which contestants are the “fan favorites” of this season? It’s time for high tea with some drag queens from the United Kingdom. The first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK premiered this October, featuring a handful of contestants from across the pond. Now, it’s almost time for RuPaul to crown the next Drag Superstar.

The winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK doesn’t take home a cash prize. However, for some, the exposure is enough of a reason to compete. Some contestants earned thousands of followers on social media, all sharing their love for these drag queens. In fact, there are a few “fan favorites” from this season of RuPaul’s reality series who could potentially win the title of “Miss Congeniality.”

A few contestants, like Scaredy Kat and Blu Hydrangea, earned a few hundred thousand followers on Instagram

For some who love UK humor and drag, it’s hard to pick a favorite from this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. As a local queen with a lot of personality Baga Chipz earned her way to the top five of this competition. The Vivienne stole hearts with her Snatch Game impersonation of Donald Trump. Divina de Campo made a name for herself as a drag queen and as a singer.

Younger queens, like Blu Hydrangea and Scaredy Kat raked up fans on social media. As the youngest contestant in Drag Race herstory, Scaredy Kat wasn’t even on Instagram prior to this competition. She now has over 100,000 followers.

“I do not have a social media presence at all and the reason for that is I just got rid of it all when I was 16 because I think there’s a lot of toxicity on there for a teenager growing up,” Scaredy Kat said during an interview with BBC. “It’s not that helpful to feel that everyone else is more attractive than you, better than you, got a good boyfriend or whatever else.”

Will there be a ‘Miss Congeniality’ of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’?

Since Valentina’s controversial crowning as “Miss Fan Favorite,” the queens vote amongst themselves for the “Miss Congeniality” of their season of the reality competition series. Monet X Change of Season 10 and Nina West of Season 11 won the title for their respective seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Will there be a Miss Congeniality of Drag Race UK?

There’s no word regarding if the title will be awarded for this special season. Previous seasons of the spin-off series, Drag Race Thailand, have a Miss Congeniality. Consequently, some fans to believe the award is still up for grabs on Drag Race UK.
