Before The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart premiered on April 13, fans were skeptical about watching the music-driven spinoff — but then they met Ryan Neal. When the 28-year-old singer stepped out of his limo and walked into the new mansion, viewers instantly fell in love. So who is Ryan from The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, really? A quick glance at the reality star’s Instagram page will probably justify his fan-favorite status.

Who is Ryan Neal from ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’?

According to his Bachelor profile, Ryan is based in Michigan and his sound covers multiple genres — Jazz, Funk, Pop, and R&B. Ryan learned the guitar at a young age because he knew he wanted to become a pop star. But the singer, songwriter, and producer didn’t get started on his art until a three-month trip to Nova Scotia.

“I rented a house in the middle of the woods on a secluded lake near the ocean,” Ryan wrote on his website. “It was surreal. I lived a life of complete seclusion — writing music, learning production and living off the grid.”

Then in Ryan’s introduction for Listen to Your Heart, the 28-year-old revealed he worked for an ophthalmologist. That said, it seems Ryan has since left this gig. “I don’t do it anymore,” Ryan said on Instagram Story when promoting the Bachelor intro. “So don’t creep on that business.”

Meanwhile, Ryan is looking forward to dating another musician on Listen to Your Heart, despite recently breaking up with his girlfriend of two years. “Dating a musician is going to be cool because they understand the lifestyle that goes with it,” he said in the intro teaser. “I’ve never dated a musician before. So getting to know someone new, someone exciting, someone a little more outgoing and amped up, is going to be entertaining. I’m looking forward to it.”

Now, Ryan has had an interesting start on The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart. In the April 13 premiere, the music artist saw sparks with Jamie Gabrielle. He also chose her for his first one-on-one date. The couple went to Capitol Records and recorded a cover of John Mayer’s “Gravity” together.

Nevertheless, Jamie chose Trevor Holmes at the rose ceremony. But he was saved by Rudi. Then in the Listen to Your Heart Week 2 promo, Ryan is spotted on stage with Natascha Bessez. So who knows where this is headed.

What is Ryan Neal’s Instagram?

For those of you wondering, Ryan’s Instagram handle is @ryanneal_music. The musician’s feed is filled with clips of himself, typically performing covers with his keyboard or guitar. Ryan has also been posting about his Bachelor journey ever since Listen to Your Heart was announced.

“I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone,” Ryan wrote on Instagram when the official promo dropped. “It was a creative, emotional, exhausting, fun, challenging, and vulnerable journey for all involved. With everything that went down, it’s guaranteed to be an interesting watch.”

Then on The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart premiere on April 13, Ryan posted a video to say thank you for the experience.

“I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you. The amount of support you guys have shown me is incredible. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you guys,” he said. “From streaming my songs, to coming to see me play in bars where there’s nobody there, to being a friend in general. My family, my good friends, people I’m just meeting now online, the overwhelming support truly means the world.”

Ryan continued: “I can’t wait for you to see this show. Completely surreal experience for me. Never would’ve thought it was something I would do, but so glad that I did. Met some incredible people, lifelong friends. The Bachelor family has been incredible to me so far.”

We know Listen to Your Heart wrapped its finale in February 2020. So no matter what happens as the weeks continue, it appears Ryan leaves the show on a good note. Now, will he depart with someone more than just a “lifelong friend”? Only time will tell. So stay tuned.
