The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has turned the world on its head. As a result, the production of various shows including the entire Love & Hip Hop franchise has come to a screeching halt. Therefore, it’s been up to the stars of the series to get creative when it comes to making a living. Love & Hip Hop: New York stars Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena have decided to take their talents to OnlyFans.

The newlywed couple tied the knot in October 2019 and welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on February 2, 2020. Though the pair have other streams of income, since the L&HH franchise was their bread and butter, they’ve decided to turn to OnlyFans as a way to supplement their income.

Now that pair is clapping back at critics, including rapper Khia, who have shaded them for using the sexy website to make money.

OnlyFans has increased popularity following the release of the ‘Savage'(Remix)’

If you didn’t previously know about OnlyFans then you certainly know about the NSFW website now that Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé have released the “Savage(Remix).” “Hips TikTok when I dance/On that Demon Time, she might start an OnlyFans (OnlyFans),” Bey raps on the song.

The website was launched back in 2016 and it is a subscription-based social media platform for adult-only content. Fans can pay a monthly subscription fee that ranges anywhere between $4.99 and $49.99 in order to access adult content including videos and photos from their favorite adult entertainers.

When Safaree and Mena saw how much money could be made from the website, they both decided to try it out.

Rapper Khia shaded Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena for using OnlyFans

Not everyone was pleased with the reality stars move to OnlyFans. Rapper Khia shaded the reality couple in a social media rant. “We the people want to know why did you two muthaf*ckers just get married and you’re out here dry begging?” she said. “Y’all putting on for the ‘gram like y’all have all this money. Chile, can’t pay your bills. We ain’t been on lock for 45 days and you want to set up an account.” The rant was lengthy and rather profane.

Other fans have also roasted the pair. It began when Samuels launched his account and only increased when Mena decided to make her own page as well.

Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena have made an insane amount of money on OnlyFans

Following intense backlash from some fans, and Khia’s rant, both Samuels and Mena have clapped back. When one fan told Mena she felt sorry for her daughter, the starlet was quick to respond.

“A real woman wouldn’t be stressing about what the next woman is doing,” she said. “Nor would she be concerned about what another woman’s husband is allowing. You feel sorry for you and that’s why you’re so in your feelings wasting time writing paragraphs about absolutely nothing.”

Samuels had his own lighthearted retort for Khia. “Hey someone go tell that fake India Irie that I made six figures in two weeks and if she needs help during this quarantine I’m down to help her so she can get a better-looking camera,” he quipped.

Samuels also shared the amount he’s made on OnlyFans in just two weeks, $94,906.17 and that doesn’t even include Mena’s earnings.
