Bullock appeared on The George Lopez Show, playing Amy Kirkland, who is so accident-prone that her coworkers called her Accident Amy. She is somewhat loopy and can also be aggressive and competitive. Amy left Powers Aviation for a brief period after her arm got crushed by a machine.

When she got back after recuperating and collecting her compensation, viewers learned that she and Randy had been dating. Randy was Benny’s boyfriend/fiancé. When Amy shows up at Randy’s bachelor party, he questions his love for Benny, leaving her jilted at the altar.

Bullock was also the show’s co-executive producer. The Oscar-winner recently sat down with her The Lost City co-star Tatum for an interview where she expounded more on her role on The George Lopez Show. When responding to the Wired question about why she was on the show, she replied, “because I produced The George Lopez Show. Any chance I got to be Accident Amy on The George Lopez Show, I took it.” She further said, “I think it brought him such great pleasure to see like a hammer hit my head.”

George Lopez and Sandra Bullock go way back

According to PEOPLE, Bullock discovered Lopez when he started in comedy. She helped him gain mainstream fame and, as mentioned before, was a producer on his show. The duo met when Bullock was looking for a Latino talent.

She was then introduced to Lopez, who worked the comedy circuit. The actor drove from Los Angeles to Orange Country, an hour drive, to watch his act. When asked about their relationship, Lopez said, “From the time Sandy and I first laid eyes on each other, she has been nothing but a person of her word and embracing of me and my family.”

The two have been friends since 2000 and have remained close ever since. When rumors of cheating allegations surrounding her ex-husband, Jesse James, surfaced, Bullock turned to Lopez’s friendship for support.

Bullock owns and runs a production company called Fortis Films. Some of the films the actor has produced include Hope Floats, Making Sandwiches, Practical Magic, Miss Congeniality, Two Weeks’ Notice, All About Steve, and The Unforgivable.

Most of the movies Bullock has produced have performed well at the box office. Miss Congeniality, for instance, had a budget of $45 million but grossed $212 million at the box office. Although the sequel didn’t do as well, it still earned $101.3 million.

The 2021 film The Unforgivable was a commercial failure earning a mere $13,062 at the box office. Bullock’s company also produced her latest film, The Lost City, which was a commercial success for such a huge gamble. The movie currently holds a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the cast and the film itself receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
