Sandra Bullock answered some ‘Burning Questions’

During a 2018 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Bullock answered “Ellen’s Burning Questions” and the answers were quite revealing.

For instance, the most rebellious thing she did as a teenager sounded pretty rough. Bullock said she got so drunk at a marathon dance that she had to have her stomach pumped at the hospital.

She was also asked, “What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done to make money?” and it was definitely a bizarre answer. When she was in college, Bullock explained, “I used to open up for drag queens in North Carolina by dancing.”

She also revealed her “most useless talent” (she can tie a cherry stem with her tongue), the scariest thing she’s ever done (gone swimming with sharks), her favorite body part (her shoulders), and her favorite curse word (“f*ck me”).

DeGeneres also used the fun game as an opportunity to find out who Bullock enjoyed kissing on-screen and who her first celebrity crush was.

When DeGeneres asked, “Which co-star was the most fun to kiss?,” Bullock mulled over her options and landed on Speed co-star Keanu Reeves.

Bullock also picked Reeves as her “first celebrity crush,” which tracks because she revealed during her interview with DeGeneres that she was into him on the set of Speed.

“I think about how sweet Keanu Reeves was and how handsome he was,” Bullock shared about working on Speed. “It was hard. It was really hard for me to really be serious. He’d look at me and I’d [giggle].”

She continued, explaining why they never dated, “There was just something about me that I guess he didn’t like. I think it’s true … I think we’re probably friends for that long because we didn’t…”

During a 2019 interview, when DeGeneres showed Reeves the clip of Bullock admitting her crush, he said the feeling was mutual.

“She obviously didn’t know I had a crush on her, either,” Reeves responded. He also explained why they didn’t date (“We were working!”), admitting, “It was nice to go to work. She’s such a wonderful person, such a wonderful actress.”

An old video clip shows their crush in action

In case anyone doubted that the two actors had feelings for each other, a 1994 video clip definitely proves that there were sparks off-screen. In the clip, Reeves sits for an interview about Speed and shares his thoughts on his co-star.

“Ah, she’s a beautiful lady. Yeah, very beautiful, giving … She has such a wonderful energy about her and light,” Reeves says about Bullock. “It’s just wherever she goes, she really gives and wants things to be … springtime. So, I don’t know. I’ve enjoyed her company immensely.”

After calling her “a really great actress” and beginning to explain how Bullock was “fighting the direction of just being like, the complete damsel in distress,” she interrupts the interview.

Bullocck jumps into Reeves’ arms and the two hug, then he pays her a compliment and she checks in to see how he’s doing. It’s all too cute.
