The Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise has made household names out of its stars, including mega celebs Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson. When DC Comics premiered the 2017 film Wonder Woman showcasing a female superhero in the starring role, Gal Godot was immediately catapulted to stardom.

With the superhero genre continuing to rake in big box office bucks, it’s a solid bet that Johansson, Larson, and Godot have greatly profited from their roles in the popular space. The question remains: Which caped crusader has the most cash?

Gal Godot: Wonder Woman

The 2017 film Wonder Woman shattered the glass ceiling by being the first to feature a female lead in a superhero movie. With another milestone achieved by hiring a female director, Patty Jenkins, to head the film, Wonder Woman made history and launched Gal Godot to celebrity status.

The actress had some film credits to her name before taking on the role of Diana Prince, such as Keeping Up With the Joneses and the Fast & Furious franchise. Godot made her debut as Wonder Woman in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it was the following year that put her on the Hollywood map.

Now with the upcoming sequel Wonder Woman 1984 and several other projects in the works, Godot is one of today’s most sought-after actresses.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Godot comes in at $20 million.

Brie Larson: Captain Marvel

Academy Award winner Brie Larson had already made a name for herself before joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the franchise’s first female in the title role. Receiving an Oscar for her performance in the 2015 film Room, the actress had plenty of street cred before taking on the part of Carol Danvers in the 2019 blockbuster Captain Marvel.

Larson caused a stir with some remarks she made during the film’s press tour, where her comments intended on bringing attention to diversity fell flat with audiences.

“I do not need a 40-year-old white dude to tell me what didn’t work for him about [A] Wrinkle in Time,” the Marvel star said last year, according to Cinemablend. “It wasn’t made for him. I want to know what it meant to women of color, to biracial women, to teen women of color, to teens that are biracial.”

Despite the momentary controversy, Captain Marvel was a hit at the box office and firmed up Larson’s footing in stardom.

Celebrity Net Worth lists Larson at $20 million for 2020.

Scarlett Johansson: Black Widow

The Black Widow star has solidified her status in Marvel Cinematic Universe history, and also achieved tremendous critical acclaim over the past year. Johansson earned two Oscar nominations for 2019 – Best Actress for Marriage Story and Best Supporting Actress for Jojo Rabbit. Though she went home empty-handed, the Avengers actress proved she can do more than action flicks.

First appearing as Natasha Romanoff in the 2010 film Iron Man 2, Johansson showed off her combat skills and confirmed that she can hold her own with her male Avenger counterparts. While the actress was already an established celebrity upon joining the Marvel franchise, donning the Black Widow title has certainly upped her status. With her solo film scheduled to come out later this year, Johansson can clearly write her own ticket when it comes to landing coveted roles.

It’s no surprise that Johansson’s net worth ranks the highest at $165 million.
