Unfortunately, being locked away in quarantine while practicing social distancing and self-isolation has been very challenging for many people. Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Scott Disick has found the experience to be very difficult. Though the father of three is always a light-hearted presence on the reality show, over the years, we’ve witnessed some of the hardships that he’s faced in his life.

In the past, Disick was known for his partying and drinking, a point of contention between himself and his children’s mother, Kourtney Kardashian. For a time, things became quite dire for Disick after the shocking death of his parents. On Oct. 28, 2013, the Flip-It Like Disick star‘s mother Bonnie Disick, passed away at the age of 63 after a long illness. Just three months later, Disick’s father, Jeffrey Disick died. It was an extremely painful time for the real estate mogul.

Recently, on an episode of KUWTK, Disick got very vulnerable and candid about losing his parents so suddenly. “Losing my parents is not an easy subject for me to talk about,” he explained. “It puts me in a very vulnerable place, to remember them and think about them.” Unfortunately, it appears that those memories have been haunting Disick while in quarantine, which prompted him to seek help.

Sofia Richie and Kourtney Kardashian had become extremely concerned about Scott Disick

As much of the United States and Los Angeles in particular finish out the second month of quarantine, Disick’s girlfriend, Sofia Richie had become increasingly concerned about his mental health. E! News reported that Disick had been “spiraling in his thoughts.” As a result, Richie decided to do something drastic, because she was “extremely concerned with the choices he was making and how out of control he became very quickly.” This prompted the model to reach out to Kourtney Kardashian.

Having been in a relationship with Disick for nearly a decade, this type of behavior was something that the Poosh founder immediately recognized. “Kourtney was very upset, and knew something was up by his unresponsiveness to matters and convos that pertained to the kids,” another source explained to E! News. “She had been through this before many times, and put a halt to it immediately. She ultimately gave him an ultimatum and he had no choice but to seek help.”

Scott Disick checked in and out of rehab quickly

Realizing that he needed to speak with a professional immediately, Disick flew to Colorado and checked himself into a rehab center. Unfortunately, he was only there a week before someone tipped off the press that he was staying there. Someone shared a photo of him during a Zoom session which is both unethical and unprofessional.

Shortly thereafter rumors began swirling that the KUWTK star was battling a cocaine and alcohol addiction. However, that is not the case.

“In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas,” Disick’s lawyer Marty Singer said in a statement. “He did not check-in for any alcohol or cocaine abuse.”

Scott Disick will be suing the rehab facility

Since a therapy session was done over Zoom, we can assume that the rehab facility was trying to practice social distancing. However, this also allowed someone to violate Disick’s privacy. Now it appears that the center is going to have a massive lawsuit on their hands.

“He has checked himself out and is immediately returning home,” Singer revealed. “We are alarmed by this extreme invasion of privacy and plan to take immediate legal action.”
