Scott Disick and Sofia Richie Have Been Texting and There’s a Good Chance They’ll Get Back Together, Source Says
After three years together, fans were shocked when Sofia Richie and Scott Disick called it quits, seemingly out of the blue. Despite their 15-year age difference, the reality star and the model defied all odds with their long term relationship and it appeared for some time that they were in it for the long haul.
However, life experience and old habits have gotten in the way of their happily ever after. In mid-May 2020, it was revealed that Disick had checked himself into a rehab facility to deal with on-going emotional issues stemming from his parents’ shocking deaths some years ago.
Amid quarantine, Richie had become increasingly concerned with Disick’s behavior prompting her to reach out to his ex, Kourtney Kardashian, and push him toward therapy. Unfortunately, Disick and Richie have now gone their separate ways. However, sources are saying their split might be temporary.

Though Richie adores Disick, it’s clear that she is maturing and coming into her own. Last year, she declared she would no longer be appearing on Keeping Up with the Kardashians because she wanted to be seen as a serious actress. In fact, though she’s been there for the Flip It Like Disick star, it was her choice to end their relationship.
“Sofia thinks Scott has a lot on his plate right now and thinks it’s best for them to be apart so he can focus on himself,” an insider told E! News. “She is only looking out for him and his best interest and it was primarily her decision for them to split. Sofia has been spending time with her family and has taken the majority of her stuff out of Scott’s house.

Though they broke up back in 2015 after nearly a decade together, Disick and Kardashian who share three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign are still incredibly close. In fact, Disick spent his 37th birthday with the Karjenners and is currently vacationing in Utah with Kardashian and his children.
“Scott went with Kourtney and the kids to Amangiri [resort in Canyon Point, Utah] to celebrate his birthday and enjoy the holiday weekend,” a source told E!. “He is doing a lot better and is focused on healing. He’s talked with a few therapists who are helping him talk through his struggles and navigate his next moves.”
Rumors have even swirled that another major issue between Disick and Richie was his apparent love for Kardashian. “Scott is always going to be in love with Kourtney, and that’s something Sofia has had to face since even before she got serious with him,” a source told Us Weekly. “It’s been an ongoing thing. It just became more apparent that his family was more of a priority than she was, and his family would be his main priority over anything and anyone.”

However, just because Disick and Kardashian have been spending family time together doesn’t mean they are headed for a reunion. “Kourtney has always been hesitant about getting back together with Scott or letting him in in a romantic sense,” the US Weekly insider explained. “She has given him so many chances over the years after he has said that he is going to prove himself to her, and he seemingly still hasn’t in certain aspects.”
Also, it appears that Disick and Richie have still been texting. “Scott and Sofia’s breakup is definitely a real breakup, but they have been staying in touch and texting since they split.” another Us Weekly source explained. “Their friends think that there is a big chance they could get back together at some point.”
