‘Selling Sunset’: Christine Quinn Blasts Fake Pregnancy Rumors – ‘This Is Seriously so Hurtful’

Christine Quinn from Selling Sunset blasted fake pregnancy rumors after she bounced back to her pre-pregnancy shape only weeks after giving birth.

Quinn’s Selling Sunset co-stars constantly gushed about how quickly she shed any baby weight she gained during pregnancy. Many were seriously in awe that she regained her bikini body so fast. Quinn seemed to take the comments in stride on the show. But she recently said she’s had enough of the conspiracy theories.

Quinn recently tweeted about fake pregnancy rumors as the series started streaming on Netflix. “For all yall still mad on pregnancy gate please go look at my ig stories. And apologize. This is seriously so hurtful.” She included videos of her working out post-baby.

Fans posted wild conspiracy theories on Reddit ranging from a suggestion she used prosthetics to fake her baby bump to questioning her birthing story. Quinn shared a harrowing account of how she and her baby could have died in childbirth. A nurse even warned her husband he may have to choose between who to save. Quinn had an emergency Cesarean section to deliver the baby. A few Reddit users, who also had the same procedure to deliver their babies said there would have been no way they could have started exercising days after giving birth.

She said her body will never be the same after childbirth

Quinn addressed the birth and her post-baby body weeks after her son was born in late May. “Whatever my body went through and what women deal with when they have babies is really crazy,” she told US Weekly. “I think your body will never really be the same. My body and my hormones will never be the same, but that’s something I really embraced and I’m kind of rolling with it.”

She said she was still “swollen” from surgery but embraced wearing a swimsuit shortly after giving birth. “I was just like, ‘I don’t care what anyone thinks of me.” She added, “I might look ridiculous and swollen, but I don’t care. I had a baby,’” she remarked. “That’s powerful enough!”

Quinn also responded to rumors or social media comments too. “I’ve learned not to be so trigger-heavy when it comes to responding and that’s been really helpful,” she added. “I’m just like, ‘OK, if anyone actually knows me, they would know the real story.’ So no, I haven’t really gotten into it with people. … Like, I don’t owe [them] anything.”

Quinn also shared her birth story but a few Reddit users noted that she left out several details that she shared on the series. One reason why she couldn’t give the full account could have been that producers wanted her to share some of the emotional details on the show.

But she shared that her birth plan did not go – well, as planned. “I thought we had plenty of time — the nursery’s a mess, there’s boxes everywhere,” she told People. “We just threw things in the bag. I had everything all prepared in my mind mentally.” She recalled, “I was like, ‘Great, I’m going to bring candles, and I have this smudgeless sage spray and I’m going to bring that. I have all these outfits planned and we’re going to be matching. It’s going to be cute. It’s going to be fantastic.’ But it didn’t really work out that way. I just had to leave my house, wrap the towel around my waist.”

“I thought I had a plan, but he was ready to come,” she added. “He made a very dramatic entrance. I mean, he was definitely early, but just like his mommy, very dramatic.”
