Since its premiere in 2019, Netflix’s Selling Sunset has attracted fans for its showcase of luxury houses. However, of course, as with most reality TV series, viewers tune in for its drama-filled episodes as well.

Real estate agent Christine Quinn is known for being a part of several fights and arguments involving her co-workers on Selling Sunset. In particular, she often has conflicts with Chrishell Stause. It can seem as if the two of them have never gotten along, but Quinn is now revealing that things used to be friendly between them. In fact, Quinn admits she actually “never wanted to fight” with Stause.

Christine Quinn seemed to be against Chrishell Stause since day one

On the first episode of Selling Sunset, the agents at Oppenheim Group met Stause, their new colleague, for the first time. While the other agents did not say much about Stause, Quinn was quick to make judgments about Stause’s outfit and personality.

As time went on, it became clear Quinn and Stause had a hard time being friends. They were once forced to compete with each other for a listing. At the same time, Stause also clashed with Davina Potratz, who Quinn ended up siding with as the seasons went on. Quinn has even called Stause “two-faced” on a few occasions on the show.

Quinn and Stause are clearly not on good terms, and the pair has even taken their feud to social media. As Screen Rant pointed out, both of them have shaded each other on Twitter, and Stause seems to have blocked Quinn.

Christine Quinn shares she and Chrishell Stause used to be friends

While things look quite bad for Quinn and Stause, Quinn is now sharing with fans that they actually used to have a good relationship with each other. However, Quinn alleges that the production team wanted them to fight.

On a recent episode of Brandi Glanville’s Unfiltered podcast, as reported by Us Weekly, Quinn says, “From day one, obviously the producers had certain things in mind. They wanted us to clash obviously. At first, we didn’t. We got along great. We were friends. She was at my house. We were drinking, having a good time. I was getting to know her and then the storylines came into play.”

In the beginning, Quinn reveals, she and Stause would make sure the cattiness from the show did not affect their real life friendship. Yet, at some point, it was clear that Quinn and Stause were, indeed, affected.

Quinn says, “We thought that we were good at separating things. Then we realized, ‘Oh s–t! This is affecting our real lives.’ I never wanted to fight with her. Are you kidding? Her and I had drinks. I made her dinner. I didn’t want that. That wasn’t me.”

At the end of season 1, Quinn and Potratz teamed up against Stause during a part and threw some harsh words her way. Afterwards, it seemed Quinn and Stause’s relationship never recovered.

Quinn also apologizes on Unfiltered for what she said to Stause during the infamous party. However, she also alleges the production team had a role in that.

“I’m sorry if I came across too harsh in my delivery. I never apologize for my words because my words are how I feel and they’re always accurate,” Quinn says. “I knew it was a season finale and the producers were like, ‘Give it, give it. It’s the season finale.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll give it, I don’t care. We need to get picked up.’”

She added, “Honestly, I don’t know if we would have gotten picked up if it wasn’t for me acting like a drunk s–t show.”
